Dan Green Has A Good Night In The HotRod Processing #46!

Bechtelsville, PA – The G & H Motorsports Team put in some extra nights this week to get the #46 ready for action at Grandview Speedway on Saturday Night.

    Dan Green lined up the NASCAR BRC Dirt Late Model #46 in 5^th spot for the first 8 lap heat race. As the race got the green flag Dan followed Dave Ogin #31 as Bill Henning #80 stayed to the outside with a hard charging Wayne Pfeil #72 to the outside of Dan. On lap 2 Henning and Pfeil got a little sideways which allowed Dan to take over the 4^th spot. Dan moved to the outside to challenge Ogin and took over the 3^rd spot on lap 3. As the 4^th lap was beginning, second place running Cory Merkel #16 spun in turn one collecting Ogin to bring out the caution, this put Dan on the back bumper of leader Steve Butler #91 for the restart. The green came back out and Dan drove to the inside of Butler to take over the lead coming out of turn two. Dan lead the rest of the way which included another caution coming out for Butler and Sean Merkel #118 getting together in the backstretch.

    The G & H Motorsports team of Jesse Bivins, Scott Green, Bob Higginbotham, Greg Hoffmaster, Debbie Dutter, Cathy Green and Brett Higginbotham got the #46 ready for the Late Model Feature.

    The NASCAR BRC 25 Lap Late Model Feature was lined up with Dan starting 6^th and when the green came out Dan quickly found out that the bottom grove was where he needed to be. After dropping back to 6^th spot on lap 2, he took over the 5^th spot on lap 3 and 4^th on lap 4 then took 3^rd on the next lap. Dan then stayed in 3^rd following Joe Finelli #22 and Jason Miller #44 for 5 laps as Chuck Schutz #1 and Wayne Pfeil #72 joined the other three for a 5 car battle for the top spot. With lapped cars coming into the mix the 5 cars were able to get through with no trouble but there was a new leader as Miller took the lead followed but Schutz, Finelli and Dan. Schutz took the lead on lap 18. With the track only having one grove and the laps winding down Dan tried the high side a few times to get by Finelli which allowed Pfeil to get by, but at the finish the #46 crossed the line in 5^th as the feature went non-stop for the entire 25 laps. With this finish Dan is now 6^th in points.
