ANDREW LOCUSON AND LUKE THOMAS SPLIT TWIN 15’S

Andrew Locuson and Luke Thomas both won their third features of the season in the Twin 15’s for the 600cc Micro Sprints while Glen Frye, Jr. recorded his first career win the 270cc Micro Sprints.  Scott Dunn won for the fourth time this season and third win in a row in the 20-lap Four Cylinder feature.

In the first feature, Andrew Locuson jumped out from his front starting spot to the lead which he never relinquished.  Luke Thomas, Bill Thomas and Sam Locuson raced the entire distance in positions two through fourth.  Matt Smith however battled his way to a fifth place finish in the first feature.

Bill Thomas jumped out to the early lead in the second of the Twin 15’s with Luke Thomas and Andrew Locuson in tow.  Locuson spun while attempting a pass for the lead on lap four.  On the restart, Luke Thomas overpowered Bill Thomas heading into the first turn for the lead.  Sam Locuson completed a pass for second and then challenged Luke Thomas for the win. Over the final five laps Sam Locuson would dive low in the first turn and pull even with Luke Thomas but Thomas would be able to pull ahead going down the backstretch.  Bill Thomas settled for third with Chris Locuson and Joe Kay completing the top five.

Glen Frye, Jr. scored his first win in the 270cc Micro Sprint division on Bridgeport’s Quarter Mile by leading the entire 20-lap distance.  The feature was slowed on the initial start by a tangle between Kate Raively and Billy Gray.  On the second attempt, Frye jumped out to the lead and then began to build a straight away lead.  Tyler Reinhardt moved through the field from his tenth starting position to take second by the halfway mark.  Over the remaining laps, Reinhardt quickly closed the distance to challenge Frye for the win on the last lap but had to settle for second.  Steve Coslop finished third followed by Lee Reinhardt and RJ Magyari.

For the fourth time this season, Scott Dunn won the 20-lap Four Cylinder feature over John Gray, Justin Dunn, Mike Dunn and John Webster
