G & H Motorsports Race Report As Dan Green #46 Has Best Finish So Far‏

Another Career Best For Dan Green And The G & H Motorsports Team

Bechtelsville, PA – Long week doesn't describe just how much work was put into the Scott Select #46 NASCAR BRC Grandview Speedway Dirt Late Model. The G & H Motorsports crew worked extra nights and Saturday morning to get the car ready for race night and it paid off.
We got to the track and unloaded the car and got it ready for warm-ups, Dan took to the track in the Ken's Towing #46. After helping “pack the track” Dan went out in the first group and quickly found out that the set-up wasn't the right one for the track conditions as he spun in turn four. Finishing up the rest of the few laps that the drivers get, Dan ended up timing 5th fastest of the 7 that went out.
The G & H Motorsports team of Scott Green, Todd Lapp, Bob Higginbotham, Jesse Bivins, Cathy Green, Brett Higginbotham and Jim Alexander went to work to get the AMSOIL #46 ready for Heat race number 2. Dan, with input from the team, decided to make several changes for the heat race.
Lined up 3rd in the 8 lap event, Dan took the green and followed Steve Butler #91 for one lap then dove to the inside in turn two to take over the second spot. Dan then followed the #3 of Ron Kline the rest of the way in the non stop race, taking the checkered in second.
With the handicapping complete Dan was placed in 4th for the 25 lap TP Trailer NASCAR BRC Late Model Feature. On the initial green flag Dan was able to drive around the #93 Rick Todorow and the #16 Cory Merkel to take second going down the backstretch but before a lap could be completed the caution was out to revert back the the original line-up. The next green Merkel and Todorow got better starts to run second and third with Dan keeping fourth. With five laps in the books Dan got by Todorow for third and when lap 11 was complete he took over second from Merkel. The rest of the way Dan followed Ron Kline #3, holding his position under heavy pressure from Randy Stoudt #10. The 25 laps finished, the Hot Rod Processing #46 ran under the checkered flag with a career best second place! The G & H Motorsports team believe that it will not be long before Dan has another career best finish with his first win in the NASCAR BRC Late Model class!
A special thank you goes to Dawn Watt who keeps track of Dan's laps when he is on the track and she stepped in during the week to help fix the damage from last Saturday night.
