HOUSE OF THUNDER HALLOWEEN PARTY AND GRANDVIEW THUNDER 5-25’S TO CLOSE OUT THUNDER SERIES SATURDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

PPB POSTS $3,000 TO WIN URC FEATURE, MODIFIEDS CHASE $3,000 TO WIN AS JOE THE PIZZA DUDE EYES MONSTER SMASH DEMO DERBY VICTORY

As tradition goes, the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series House of Thunder Halloween Party & the Grandview Thunder 5-25’s will close out the Thunder Series for the season at Grandview Speedway Saturday night, October 13. The five feature program will showcase the NASCAR Modifieds, URC Sprints, ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legend cars. Added attractions include the Blast from the Past Vintage Cars & Garden State Vintage Cars along with the Vince’s Towing Owner’s Race. The night cap will be the Monster Smash Demolition Derby with the popular Joe the Pizza Dude entering the event in his NAPA Auto Parts/Pizza Pie special entry. Gates will open at 4 PM with the first of five features taking the green flag at 6 PM on Saturday night.

A story line for this event is the close batter that will be decided for the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series Championship. The 25 lap URC sprint feature is sponsored by Pioneer Pole Buildings and will pay $3,000 to the winner. The battle for the championship shows Burlington, NJ driver Robbie Stillwaggon going into the event with a twenty-five point advantage over Wantage, NJ driver Davie “no panic” Franek. Both Stillwaggon and Franek are looking for their first URC Championship title.

The five divisions of racing will bring together over one-hundred of the top drivers in five divisions of dirt track racing. The stars from the 358 Modifieds, Rislone URC Sprint Series, ARDC Wingless Midgets, Sportsman and Legends will all try to add there name to the TOTH 2012 win list.

Also on the card will be the Blast From the Past & Garden State Vintage Cars racing in a feature event. You should also expect to see the Vince’s Towing Owners Race, a special 10 lap feature for current modified owners to climb in their car and go after the win. To participate, car owners are required to drive the car they own.

The show will start at 6 PM with gates opening at 4 PM. Kids and adults are encouraged to take part in the Halloween theme by dressing up in their favorite costumes. To add to the fun and festivities will be the chance to win various prizes.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay oval, celebrating their 50^th Anniversary season in 2012. The facility offers free parking, quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house. Race fans may take part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch warm-ups from inside turn four. Race fans are also invited to victory lane following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races to meet the drivers.
