HOUSE OF THUNDER HALLOWEEN PARTY PRESENTS NIGHTMARE ON THE HILL. . . . . . . THE TALE OF THE FRIGHTENING 5- 25’S

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will close its doors for the 2012 season on Saturday night October 13^th at Grandview Speedway. The House of Thunder Halloween Party and the “Frightening” Grandview Thunder 5-25’s. In this all treats and no tricks format, fans will get to see five divisions of dirt track racing battle in a feature only event. No Time Trials, No Heats, No Consolation events, just five feature events without any qualifying. The “ Halloween Nightmare” on the hill will also feature a Monster Smash Demolition Derby to close out the racing program.

One tale of the 2012 frightening 5-25’s has produced some thrillers, including the wild last lap pass in the 358 modified feature when Duane Howard took the win over Jeff Strunk.

The five divisions of racing will bring together over one-hundred of the top drivers in five divisions of dirt track racing. The stars from the 358 Modifieds, Rislone URC Sprint Series, ARDC Wingless Midgets, Sportsman and Legends will all try to add there name to the TOTH 2012 win list that already includes big names such as Greg Hodnett, Danny Johnson, Ryan Godown and Indy 500 driver Bryan Clauson.

If the 5 features and no qualifying isn’t enough to excite fans, URC drivers Robbie Stillwaggon and Davie “No Panic” Franek will take their season long point battle to the high banked one- third mile Grandview Speedway to decide who will earn the championship crown of URC in 2012. In the modified ranks, Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Kevin Hirthler and Gary Hager are some of the expected drivers looking to win the 25 lap modified feature. All this plus the ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legends to treat the race fans.

Also on the card will be the Blast From the Past & Garden State Vintage Cars and the Vince’s Towing Owners Race. The show will start at 6 PM with gates opening at 4 PM. Kids and adults are encouraged to take part in the Halloween theme by dressing up in their favorite costumes. To add to the fun and festivities will be the chance to win various prizes.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay oval, celebrating their 50^th Anniversary season in 2012. The facility offers free parking, quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house. Race fans may take part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch warm-ups from inside turn four. Race fans are also invited to victory lane following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races to meet the drivers.
