PRUTZMAN, BACK FROM INJURY, HITS THE ROAD IN ‘15

Hamburg, PA – Keith Prutzman had a very brief season in 2014 due late-winter, shoulder rotator cuff surgery. But the veteran racer will be back at full strength for a full season in 2015 with his #28 Buck Rubs Gentleman’s Club 360 cubic inch sprint cars.
Prutzman currently has 25 race dates on his schedule, but the big change is that the team will spend 12 of those dates in the State of New York racing with the Empire State Sprints. Tracks on the current schedule are Utica Rome Speedway (4 dates), Susquehanna Speedway (4 dates), Selinsgrove Speedway (2 dates), Williams Grove Speedway (3 dates), Albany Saratoga Speedway, Fonda Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, New Egypt Speedway, Big Diamond Speedway, Brewerton Speedway, Rolling Wheels Speedway, Can-Am Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Thunder Mountain Speedway, and Port Royal Speedway.
The team also plans to compete in 12 United Racing Club dates including a non-point URC event at Selinsgrove’s Mach1 event. Three times either URC has scheduled an ESS race in a non-point status or ESS has scheduled a URC race to support without awarding points for events on the Prutzman schedule. One date on the schedule, June 3, at Lincoln, is non-sanctioned.
“While I was not able to race last year, we spent some time in New York watching the Empire State Sprints,” commented Keith Prutzman, “and we found the teams and leadership, Dean Reynolds and Mike Mallet, very open and friendly.…. good people. With Wide Open Expeditions of Williamstown, NY sponsoring us for a few years and two or our crew members based in New York giving us a place to stay and base operations, it seemed logical for us to for some racing up there. The chance to compete on tracks I have not raced on in the past is also a cool challenge.”
Buck Rubs Gentleman’s Club of Reading, PA remains as the team’s chief sponsor but the team’s newest sponsor works well with the “northern” plans as the Blind Tiger Pub at 4402 Watson Blvd., Johnson City, NY has signed on for 2015.
Returning sponsors are McKeansburg Hotel of New Ringgold, PA, PA Power Coating of Littlestown, PA, Haus Automotive of Hamburg, PA, Westy Bar and Grill of Hamburg, PA, R&R Auto Group of Schuylkill Haven, PA, Kurtz Brothers Glass of Tamaqua, PA, Beck’s Pest Control of Wyomissing, PA, Wide Open Expeditions of Williamstown, NY, Vaccaro EZ Auto Rentals of Reading, PA, VRP Shocks of Temple, PA, and Ardex Auto Detailing Products of Philadelphia, PA.
The team will have a pair of Maxim chassis cars ready to race and three racing engines from BelMit Development of York Springs, PA. One car will be Keith’s Delco Signs finished Kramer Williamson Tribute car as it appeared late in 2014. The second Maxim will carry the same basic appearance with the car number being solid and the pink replaced by orange as wrapped by Delco.
The list of team members looks much like as it has in recent seasons including Steve ‘Zeke’ Powley, Heath Gilliland, Jack Ramsey, John Neidlinger, Robert ‘Griff’ Griffin, Adam Erskine and Scottie Isett plus the New York crew of Craig Richards and Keith McNeal.
