TRIPLEHEADER STOCK CAR RACING ACTION SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY AUG, 3

TRIPLEHEADER STOCK CAR RACING ACTION MAKES UP WNPV-1440AM RADIO NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 1, 2013 . . . After two weeks of tough luck Duane Howard was able to charge back to victory lane in the NASCAR 358 Modifieds last Saturday night and tighten up the point battle with current leader Craig VonDohren. Both racers will be back in action on Saturday (August 3) when WNPV-1440AM Radio presents a full show of stock car racing that includes the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman. Each division tops off their part of the racing action with a rough and tumble action packed feature event.

Howard has been able to win seven features this season with his BPG Racing mount while VonDohren has four main event wins with his Beartown Recycling entry. Those two will get most of the attention but looking to keep them out of victory lane will be Mike Gular, nine time champion Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis, Frank Cozze and others.

The Late Models will have an extra event as Joe and Linda Moskal of WNPV Radio sponsor a special five lap cash dash that will feature the top two from each qualifying heat race and then an additional competitor that will come by way of the lucky draw.

Young fans will have a chance to win a $300 Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR Lionel train courtesy of Henning Trains of Lansdale.

Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and at the same time a Meet and Greet features three of the top racers at the main gate. Warm-ups start at 6:45 p.m. and racing gets the green at 7:30 p.m.

Modified racers will be using the Saturday night WNPV Radio sponsored event as a tune-up for the $10,000 to win Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings set for Saturday August 10. That will be a 50-lapper that is expected to draw a stellar field of competitors racing for the big bucks. Sportsman and Late Models will be part of the night of racing. Adult tickets will be $25 while youngsters 6 thru 12 will pay $5 and those under 6 will be admitted free. There is an August 17th rain date in place.
