A frightening chill and an eerie darkness will fall across Grandview Speedway on Saturday, October 17 (Rain date: Saturday, October 24) as the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presents Mods at the Madhouse, a thrilling three-division show headlined by a Small-Block/Big-Block Modified event -- including full qualifying heat races – plus action from the Sportsman and TSRS Sprint Cars.   Race time is set for 6 PM.

A staple of the Thunder Series calendar for over 15 years, the Halloween themed event will feature a 40-lap Small-Block/Big-Block feature event with a possible $5,000 top-prize going to the winner.  The treats don’t stop there, with tenth place paying $1,000 and a whopping $500 to start.

Pre-entries are filing in as many of the area’s top stars dare to enter the Madhouse.  Regular Grandview ghouls include: 2015 Track Champion Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Doug Manmiller, and Danny Erb, plus invading drivers like Billy Pauch Jr. and Ryan Watt are set to haunt the hill.

There is no entry fee but competitors are encouraged to pre-enter by October 10th by calling 443-513-4456.  Pre-entered competitors will compete for a $5,000 top prize. If the winner is not pre-entered the winner’s share will be $4,000.

Joining the Modifieds on Saturday, October 17 (Raindate: October 24) will be the Sportsman, competing in a 25-lap feature event paying $1,300 to the winner.  2015 Track Champion Brett Kressley was among the first entries received, and Freedom 38 winner Craig Whitmoyer has also pre-entered for this event.

All Sportsman competitors are welcome to attend with full qualifying heat races and a consolation event on the schedule.

Also on the schedule is a full program of TSRS Sprint Cars with a 25-lap main event, heats, and a consolation.

Race fans young and old are encouraged to dress in costume to be eligible for special Halloween treats, a tradition of this event for many, many years.  The Halloween Party remains a big part of this event.
