Sicklerville, NJ (September 22, 2014) – With the Rock and Roll 33 coming up on Friday, October 3 on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile track, a practice session for Modified cars on the inner oval is set for Friday, September 26. Pit gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with test and tune periods for the Modifieds to be interwoven with the racing program that gets underway at 8:00 p.m. Pit fees will be $25 with a Bridgeport Speedway Friday night license and $30 without a Bridgeport Speedway Friday night license. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted for free.
The Rock and Roll 33 will feature a sixteen car field, determined by qualifying events, in a 33-lap feature for Modifieds. For this special event on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile, any Modified style car from Crate Sportsman powered cars to Big Block Modifieds is eligible as an open motor rule is in effect. In addition, any 13 X 92 Modified track tire can be used for the race. A standard Dirt Car Modified body with or without Sail Panels can be used. No additional wings are permitted.
If the victor of the Rock and Roll 33 returns to Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, October 4 and wins the Big Block Modified or Crate/Sportsman feature on the outer oval, an additional $500 cash bonus will be awarded. Drivers such as Lou Cicconi, Brett Ballard, Ron Roberts, Steve Davis, Ryan Simmons, Ricky Wegner, Don Cogdill, and Lauren Emmons are planning to attend the race.
Marketing partnerships for the Rock and Roll 33 are available. Vahlco Racing is the latest to climb on board as they will be donating a $100 coupon towards a wheel order along with t-shirts and hats for the top five finishers. Black Flagged Racing will be awarding trophies to the top three finishers of the race. In addition, marketing partners are being actively sought to sponsor cash bonuses for each finishing position in the main event.
