410 SPRINT PENNSYLVANIA SPEED WEEK & ROC BIG BLOCK MODIFIEDS RETURN TO THE HILL TUESDAY NIGHT, JULY 1 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
As the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series celebrates their 25th Anniversary season at the Grandview Speedway, the 410 sprints and ROC Big Block Modifieds are next on the schedule with a Tuesday night, July 1 event planned. The best 410 sprint car drivers of Central Pennsylvania will be in the field joined a talented roster of modified stars. Time trials and qualifying events will lead up to the $5,000 to win 35 lap 410 Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week feature event. The modifieds will compete in heat race qualifying building to a 60 lap $5,000 to win feature event. Gates will open at 5 PM with qualifying getting underway at 7:30 PM.
Expected 410 sprint car entries include defending Thunder Series Champion Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease, Brian Montieth, Mark Smith, Alan Krimes, Brent Marks and Doug Esh. The modified roster may include Matt Sheppard, Stewart Friesen, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Kevin Hirthler, Rick Laubach, Richie Pratt Jr, Kevin Hirthler, Doug Manmiller, Craig VonDohren and Mike Gular.
This is a “must see” event bringing together the best drivers of both the 410 sprints and the Big Block Modifieds. The adult admission price is $25, Childrent 6-11 $10 and children 5 and under are Free. The pit fee is $30 and a license is not required.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay oval, celebrating their 52nd Anniversary season in 2014. The facility offers free parking, quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house. Race fans may take part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch warm-ups from inside turn four. Race fans are also invited to victory lane following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races to meet the drivers. Be ready to enjoy the spine tingling fireworks salute on the feature event parade lap.
