TRICK OR TREATING PLANNED FOR BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S BILL THOMAS MEMORIAL

Bridgeport, NJ (October 21, 2013) – On Saturday, October 26 at
Bridgeport Speedway’s Bill Thomas Memorial, plenty of fun will be in
store for fans of all ages. For children, a trick or treat session
will be held prior to the racing as the drivers will bring their cars
behind the main grandstand and will distribute candy to the kids.

On the quarter mile track, the IPM Pest Management 600cc Micro-Sprints
and 270cc Micro-Sprints will share top billing as the winner of each
30-lap feature will take home $1000. The take the green money for each
main event in the micro-sprint classes will be $80. This special event
honors the late William “Bill” Thomas IV.  Thomas was a huge supporter
of Micro-Sprint racing at Bridgeport Speedway and passed away on
October 23, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer. Also, each
finishing position in the Micro-Sprint classes will be sponsored.  The
cash collected in this endeavor will be added to the attractive purse.
To date, several finishing positions have been sponsored at greater
than the $10 stated minimum.  To get your company involved, pass on
best wishes to your favorite driver, or recognize one of your sponsors
in a special manner, contact Mike Wisniewski at mike@bpspeedway.com
for additional information. Car entry forms for the Micro-Sprints are
available at www.bpspeedway.com under the driver forms tab. A time
trial format will be used to set lineups for the heat races for the
Micro-Sprint classes.

In addition, the 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars will race for an enhanced
purse through the efforts of Black Flagged Racing and Scott Dunn Auto
Service. If 16 or more cars are entered, the winner in this division
will go home with $300. The Delaware Chargers and Super Trucks are
invited to participate in this event.

The Slingshots by Tobias will be returning to the inner oval at
Bridgeport Speedway and a $500 payday is available to the top finisher
if a minimum of twenty cars are on hand. The big racing card will be
rounded out by the Garden State Vintage Stock Cars and an 8-Cylinder
Enduro contest.

On Saturday, October 26, the gates open at 3:00 p.m. The trick and
treat session for children will get underway at 4:30 p.m. on the
midway behind the main grandstand.  Racing revs up at 6:00 p.m. Pit
admission is $30. Admission to the grandstands is $15 with no charge
for kids 9 and under. In case of inclement weather, the Bill Thomas
Memorial will be moved to Saturday, November 2.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways, and fan participation games. As a premier racing
complex, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval,
