NARDELLI NABS FIRST CHECKERED FLAG OF THE YEAR AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Bridgeport, NJ (August 10, 2013) – On the quarter mile track at
Bridgeport Speedway, Lee Nardelli nabbed his first checkered flag of
the year by topping the field in the IPM Pest Management 600cc
Micro-Sprint feature. RJ Magyari was the victor in the 270cc
Micro-Sprint main event. Cheri LaClaire collected her first career win
in the 4-Cylinder Enduro Car race.

In the 20-lap IPM Pest Management 600cc Micro-Sprint feature, Lee
Nardelli came from his eighth starting position to win his first race
of the season. When the contest got underway, Sam Locuson hopped out
to the lead. In the opening moments of the event, a terrific battle
for second place was occurring with Stephen Kemery, Jon Keller, and
Nardelli in tight quarters. Following a caution period on the third
circuit, Sam Locuson was still setting the pace with Nardelli in the
runner-up spot. On lap 11, the top two were side by side when the
yellow lights illuminated the track as Sammy Lamothe’s ride stopped in
the fourth corner. As action got back underway, Sam Locuson and
Nardelli held onto their positions. With five tours remaining, the top
two were distancing themselves from the pack and Nardelli was inching
closer to the leader. On lap 18, Nardelli darted below Sam Locuson at
the entrance of the third corner and escaped with the lead. In the
final two revolutions, Nardelli sped away to claim his first win of
the year. With Sam Locuson taking second, Jon Keller finished in
third. Fourth place was taken by Andrew Locuson and Bill Thomas
completed the event in fifth. The heat races for the IPM Pest
Management 600cc Micro-Sprints were won by Lee Nardelli and Andrew
Locuson.

RJ Magyari took advantage of some misfortune to win the 20-lap 270cc
Micro-Sprint main event. After the original start was hindered by a
multi-car tangle, Jon Keller took the lead on the second try with
Magyari and John Blanda in tow. At the halfway point, Keller had an
advantage that was greater than a full straightaway. Unfortunately on
the white flag lap with a huge margin, Keller clipped the inside wall
in turn two and spun out. After the mishap, Magyari inherited the lead
and held off Blanda on the ensuing restart to gain the win. Tyler
Reinhardt finished in third. Andrew Locuson and Joe Dopke rounded out
the top five. Tyler Reinhardt and Richie Keller recorded victories in
the qualifying events for the 270cc Micro-Sprints.

In the 20-lap feature for the 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars, Cheri LaClaire
claimed her first career victory after leading the race from start to
finish. The runner-up spot went to Warren Stradley. Todd Francis, John
Webster, and Art Knapp completed the top five finishers.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways, and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.

NOTES: Due to the threat of rain, Bridgeport Speedway management
postponed the Camera and Autograph session. The meet and greet with
the drivers has been rescheduled for Friday, September 6.
