Midget racers will have a display and exhibit event on inner oval. 
Free grandstand admission for residents of Bridgeton, Millville and 
Vineland.
Big Block Modifieds (30L), Crate/Sportsman (20L), & Outlaw Stock Cars (15L)

SPEEDWAY’S BILL HILL MEMORIAL

Bridgeport, NJ (August 19, 2013) – On Saturday, August 24 at 
Bridgeport Speedway, the Bill Hill Memorial for Crate/Sportsman will 
take center stage. This special race will honor Bill Hill, the former 
driver and race car owner who lost a brave battle with cancer on 
December 24, 2012. Jesse and Travis Hill will be competing in this 
tribute race in honor of their late father.

The Hill family has obtained many extra incentives for the 
Crate/Sportsman competitors on this night. For heat race winners, a 
$50 cash bonus will be awarded. The winner of the 20-lap feature will 
go home with $928 which represents the two race car numbers (9A and 
28) that Bill Hill drove during the majority of his racing career. The 
runner-up spot is worth $550 and the third place finisher will be 
rewarded with $450.The take the green money is $100.  In addition to 
the enhanced purse to be spread throughout the field, racers can also 
look forward to lap money and trophies for the top three finishers of 
the 20-lap race.

Due to the nature of the special race, no weekly handicapping will 
occur for the Crate/Sportsman on this night as the competitors in the 
class will draw for their starting position in their heat race upon 
arrival. The top finishers in the qualifying events will be entered in 
the redraw for their starting spots in the 20-lap feature event. Each 
Crate/Sportsman competitor that attempts to qualify for this event 
will receive fifty points towards the 2013 championship standings. In 
addition, the Big Block Modifieds and Outlaw Stock Cars will be on the 
racing agenda to round out the three- division card.

On Saturday, August 24, the pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and grandstand 
turnstiles unlock at 5:30 p.m. Racing on the 5/8th mile dirt oval revs 
up at 7:00 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission will be $15 with 
students (10-15) being admitted for $10. Kids 9 and under are free. 
Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members. 
Quarter Midget cars will be on display and will compete in an 
exhibition event on the quarter mile track. Spectators from Millville 
and Vineland will be admitted to the grandstand for free with proper 
identification.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free

complex, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, 
featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located 
in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware 
at exit 14 off of I-295.
