TSRS 305 SPRINT CARS AND SPORTSMAN FEATURED IN A SPECIAL SUNDAY NIGHT DOUBLEHEADER AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY, AUGUST 25TH
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 9, 2013 . . . For the very first time the TriState RaceSaver Series (TSRS) 305 Sprint cars will be seen in action at Grandview Speedway on Sunday, August 25th. Joining the exciting sprint cars will be Sportsman stock cars with racing scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
“All of us involved with the TSRS sprinters are very excited about the opportunity to race at Grandview, “ said organization president Joe Grandinetti. “ It is a great track for sprint cars and we are anticipated at least three dozen sprinters to be on hand for first time appearance.”
Heading up the list of sprint car racers is defending TSRS champion Mike Haggenbottom along with a large number of other regulars. The former URC sprint champion is quite familiar with the high banks of Grandview and that should make him an early race favorite.
The Sportsman stock car portion of the doubleheader will be open to Sportsman racers from area tracks and the winner goes home with $700.
“Our regular Sportsman put on a great show here each Saturday night,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “We anticipate that with some visitors that do not normally run here we should have some action packed stock car racing events.”
Adult admission for the Sunday special will be $16 while youngsters 12 and under will be admitted free. Admission to the pits will be $30 and there will be no NASCAR license required.
Pits will open at 2 p.m. while main spectator gates will be open at 5 p.m. for racing starting at 7 p.m.
