RAIN FOILS BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S FAST AND FURIOUS FRIDAY RACING

Bridgeport, NJ (July 12, 2013) – As rain continued to increase in
intensity, Bridgeport Speedway management cancelled the Fast and
Furious Friday night racing program scheduled for July 12. Racing on
the inner oval is set to resume on Friday, July 19 with the addition
of two special events. A wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint race and an
8-Cylinder Enduro contest will join the regular program of winged
Micro-Sprints (270cc and 600cc) and 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars. All gates
open at 5:00 p.m. with the first qualifying event getting underway at
7:15 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for fans 10 and older. All kids
9 and under are free. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license
and $30 without a license.

The next event at Bridgeport Speedway takes place on Saturday, July
13. On this night of racing presented by the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation, both tracks will be pressed into action during
Women on Wheels and Swedesboro Night. On this evening, Powder Puff
races will be held for female participants on the quarter mile track.
Big Block Modifieds, Crate/Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks will be in
competition on the big and fast 5/8th mile speedway. Ian Humphreys,
the 2013 Rookie Champion, will be at the grandstand pavilion before
the races with his car and signing autographs. The pit gates open at
4:30 p.m. with the grandstand turnstiles unlocking at 5:30 p.m. Action
gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission will be $15
with students (10-15) being admitted for $10. Kids 9 and under are
free. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for
non-members. Residents of Swedesboro can enter the grandstand for free
with proper identification.

featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located
in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware
at exit 14 off of I-295.
