NEW DATE FOR TOM HAGER MEMORIAL HIGHLIGHTS SEVERAL UPDATES TO
BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S SCHEDULE

Bridgeport, NJ (July 24, 2013) – After Mother Nature interfered with
the original date of Wednesday, July 3, the Tom Hager Memorial has
been rescheduled by Bridgeport Speedway management and will be held
on Wednesday, September 11 2013. The highlight of the two-division
show will be the 43-lap Big Block Modified Poker Series event that
will serve as the fourth hand. The winner’s share is a cool $4000
while the take the green money will be $300. The Crate/Sportsman cars
are on the card and will compete in a 30-lap Poker Series race. The
victor of the 30-lap Crate/Sportsman Poker Series race will receive
$1000 and the take the green money is set at $100. Crate/Sportsman
competitors will be rewarded with a purse increase for the second
through fifth finishing positions and a wide variety of contingency
prizes. On Wednesday, September 11, the pits will open at 4 p.m. with
grandstand gates unlocking at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps get underway at 6:30
p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Due to this event, the Wild Card show
planned for Friday, September 13, which was to include the balance of
the May 11 feature for the Big Block Modifieds, will be cancelled. The
remaining twenty-one circuits of the May 11 main event will now be
completed on Saturday, September 21.

In other updates to the 2013 schedule at Bridgeport Speedway, the
postponed Big Block Modified feature from Saturday, July 20 has been
added to the program taking place on Saturday, August 3. The distance
for both Big Block Modified features on this night will be 25 laps.
On Saturday, August 17, the Big Block Modified driver with the best
combined finish in the twin-20 lap features will be awarded a
guaranteed redraw position in the 8th annual Friends of Mike race that
will be held on Thursday, August 29. The Bill Hill Memorial for
Crate/Sportsman is set for Saturday, August 24 and this special race
will feature plenty of extra incentives including bonus money for heat
race winners and lap leaders.

If Championship Night on Saturday, September 28 should be postponed
due to weather, the double point finale for the Block Modifieds,
Crate/Sportsman, and Outlaw Stock Cars will be held on the first
Saturday evening in October. Otherwise, a non-point three-division
card featuring Big Block Modifieds, Crate/Sportsman, and Outlaw Stock
Cars will take place on Saturday, October 5.

The fourth and fifth rounds of the Outlaw Stock Car Shoot-Out Series
sponsored by Black Flagged Racing will take place on Friday, November
15 and Saturday, November 16 respectively. The third event in the five
race series takes place on Saturday, September 21.
