GEAR RULE FOR OPEN SPORTSMAN CARS IN CRATE/SPORTSMAN CLASS HAS BEEN
ADDED AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Bridgeport, NJ (June 10, 2013) – Starting on Saturday, June 15 at
Bridgeport Speedway, a gear rule for Open Sportsman Cars competing in
the Crate/Sportsman class will be in place. The final drive for Open
Sportsman cars will need to be 5.24 or less. “As I stated at the
beginning of the year, I was going to monitor this class and adjust
the rules as necessary to level the playing field of the Open
Sportsman and Crate Sportsman competing in the same class. I will
continue to review the situation,” stated track operator Keith Hoffman.

The new rule goes into effect this coming Saturday as twin 20-lap
features for the Big Block Modifieds are on tap. In addition, the
Crate/Sportsman will have two features as they will compete in a
regularly scheduled main event along with the postponed feature from
Saturday, May 11. The Outlaw Stock Cars and the D.A.’S Auto Body and
Repair Rookies will be in competition as well. On Saturday, June 15,
the pit area opens at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstand gates unlocking at
5:00 p.m. Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission
will be $20 with students (10-15) being admitted for $10. Kids 9 and
under are free. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35
for non-members.

A special mid-week show is set for Wednesday, June 12 as the mighty
410 Sprint Cars roar into Bridgeport Speedway for Night of Wings 2013.
A 25 lap main event worth $7,000 to the winner is up for grabs. The
“Take the Green” money for this very special race will be a cool $500.
A $500 hard charger award is available as well. The top finishing 360
Sprinter will get an additional $1,100. Confirmed entrants for this
race include Dave Blaney, Dale Blaney, Lance Dewease, Danny Lasoski,
Brett Marks, Danny Holtgraver, JJ Grasso, Danny Dietrich, Curt
Michael, Greg Hodnett, and Davey Sammons. Sponsors for the Night of
Wings 2013 program include Rider Racing Engines, Wings Unlimited,
Viper Venom Fuel, Jake’s Carts, Fast Tees and Lelands.com. To complete
the show, the TSRS Sprint Cars will be on the card. On Wednesday, June
12, the gates to the pit area open at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstand
turnstiles unlocking at 5:00 p.m. A pre-race autograph session is set
to begin at 5:30 p.m. Chicken Wings will be available for fifty cents
each. Hot laps start at 7:00 p.m. with action getting underway at 7:30
p.m. Night of Wings 2013 tickets for fans 16 and older will be $25 in
advance or $30 on the day of the show. Admission for students (10-15)
will be $15 and children 9 and under are free. Admission to the pit
area is $35. A rain date of Thursday, June 13 has been established for
this event.
