WET WEATHER WIPES OUT 270CC MICRO-SPRINT BONUS NIGHT AT
BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Bridgeport, NJ (May 24, 2013) – Wet weather in
Southern New Jersey
wiped out Black Flagged Racing’s 270cc Micro-Sprint
Bonus Night on the
quarter mile track at Bridgeport Speedway. The 270cc
Micro-Sprint
Bonus Night will be rescheduled. On Friday, May 31, Fan
Appreciation
Night will be the next event on the inner dirt oval and will
feature
Micro-Sprints (270cc and 600cc) along with 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars.
Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event starts at 7:15
p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for fans 10 and older. All kids 9
and
under are free. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license
and $30
without a license.
The next racing event at Bridgeport Speedway takes
place on Sunday,
May 26. Colonial Pipeline, the owner of a network of
pipelines
connecting Gulf Coast refineries with markets across the South
and
Eastern United States, presents the Wingate Classic on 811 Awareness
Night. This 40-lap Big Block Modified Poker Series race honors George
Wingate, the former Bridgeport Speedway promoter who lost a battle
with
cancer in May 2003. The winner of this second of five Poker
Series events
will go home with $4000. A host of invaders such as
Jimmy Blewett, Jeff
Heotzler, Duane Howard, Doug Manmiller, Billy
Pauch, Sr., and Craig Von
Dohren are expected to be on hand. The
second races in the Crate/Sportsman
Poker Series and Outlaw Stock Car
Shoot-Out Series will round out the
special Memorial Day weekend
program. On Sunday May 26, the pit gates
unlock at 4:00 p.m. and fans
can begin to enter the grandstands at 5:00
p.m. Racing is slated to
begin at 7:00 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission
will be $25 with
students (10-15) being admitted for $12. Kids 9 and under
are free.
Admittance to the pits is $35.
Bridgeport Speedway

parking, giveaways, and
fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’,
Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4
mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey --
just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of
I-295.
