SHOWERS STOP RACING PROGRAM AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Bridgeport, NJ (May 19, 2013) – On Bike and Scout Night at Bridgeport
Speedway, showers stopped the racing program on Saturday, May 18.
Before the wet weather, the Rookie race was completed. For the second
time this season, Kris Lilick was victorious in the D.A.’S Auto Body
and Repair Rookie Series feature. Lilick led from start to finish. A
late closing Ian Humphreys finished in second. Tyler Hulmes, Jesse
Bonaduce, and Jeff Bubori were next in line. The showers began prior
to the second qualifying event for the TSRS Sprint Cars, who were
making their first appearance of the year at Bridgeport Speedway.
Thirty-four TSRS Sprint Cars had entered the pits with twenty-nine Big
Block Modifieds registered for competition and thirty-four
Crate/Sportsman cars on hand. Paid wrist bands from the Saturday, May
18 program can be redeemed on May 26 and throughout the entire month
of June except for the Night of Wings show on Wednesday, June 12 as
this is a separate promotion.

Racing on the 5/8th mile oval returns on Sunday, May 26 as Colonial
Pipeline, the owner of a network of pipelines connecting Gulf Coast
refineries with markets across the South and Eastern United States,
presents the Wingate Classic on 811 Awareness Night. This 40-lap Big
Block Modified Poker Series race honors George Wingate, the former
Bridgeport Speedway promoter who lost a battle with cancer in May
2003. The winner of this second of five Poker Series events will go
home with $4000 with $300 to take the green. The second races in the
Crate/Sportsman Poker Series and Outlaw Stock Car Shoot-Out Series
will round out the special Memorial Day weekend program. On Sunday May
26, the pit gates unlock at 4:00 p.m. and fans can begin to enter the
grandstands at 5:00 p.m. Racing is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. Adult
(16 and older) admission will be $25 with students (10-15) being
admitted for $12. Kids 9 and under are free. Admittance to the pits is
$35.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways, and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
