COLONIAL PIPELINE FUELS BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S
WINGATE CLASSIC AS A SPONSOR
Bridgeport, NJ (May 14, 2013) – Colonial
Pipeline, the owner of a
network of pipelines connecting Gulf Coast
refineries with markets
across the South and Eastern United States, is
proud to sponsor
Bridgeport Speedway’s Wingate Classic. This event, slated
for Sunday,
May 26, will be the second hand of the Big Block Modified
Poker
Series. A $4000 payday will be awarded to the victor of the 40-lap
feature with $300 for taking the green flag in the main event. Along
with Bridgeport Speedway regulars such as Ryan Watt, Jimmy Horton,
Richie Pratt, Jr., Eric Kormann, Mike Iles, Rick Laubach, Matt
Harrell,
and a host of others, plenty of invaders are expected to be
on hand for
this race. Bobby Varin, the victor of the 60 Over Special,
is planning to
be on hand. Billy Pauch, Sr. has informed management of
his intentions to
race at the Wingate Classic sponsored by Colonial
Pipeline.
As they
did in May 2012, Colonial Pipeline has collaborated with
Bridgeport
Speedway to draw focus on the national call before you dig
811 system. 811
is the national phone number to be called prior to any
excavation work.
Colonial Pipeline is an Atlanta based interstate
common carrier of
petroleum products and has a vast pipeline system
that stretches from
Houston Texas to New York Harbor. Colonial
Pipeline's local Woodbury, NJ
team will be on hand with information on
the importance of using the free
and easy to use 811 system.
In addition to the Wingate Classic for the
Big Block Modifieds, extra
distance events with added cash are on tap for
the Crate/Sportsman and
Outlaw Stock Cars on May 26. The Crate/Sportsman
class will compete in
the second hand of their Poker Series with $1000
going to the winner
and $100 minimum going to the starters of the 30-lap
feature. The
second round of Black Flagged Racing’s Outlaw Stock Car
Shoot-Out
Series takes place with plenty of extra incentives including lap
money
and a gambler’s bonus. All three divisions will have qualifying
races
and consolation events before their main events. Through their
gracious sponsorship, Colonial Pipeline is offering a cash bonus to
the
heat race victors in each division. The winners of the Big Block
Modified
qualifying events will receive $150. Victors of heat races in
the
Crate/Sportsman and Outlaw Stock Car divisions will be awarded $50.
On
Sunday May 26, the pit area will open at 4:00 p.m. with grandstand
gates
unlocking at 5:00 p.m. The first qualifying event will get
underway at 7:00
p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission will be $25 with
students (10-15) being
admitted for $12. Kids 9 and under are free.
Admittance to the pits is
