WILL THERE BE A REPEAT WINNER AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY?
BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 18, 2013 . . . The first two weeks of NASCAR stock
car racing at Grandview Speedway has produced no repeat winners. Could that
change this Saturday?
There have been three NASCAR 358 Modified feature winners and two winners in both the Late Models and Sportsman.
Duane Howard, who basically ran away with the NASCAR 358 Modified title in 2012, winning nine feature races, has yet to visit victory lane. Despite that he does hold the top spot in the point standings but with just a two point edge over six time champion Craig VonDohren already a winner this season. And nine time track champion Jeff Strunk has not visited Grandview’s victory lane.
Howard and Strunk will each be looking for their first win of the season in the 30-lap NASCAR 358 Modified feature race on Saturday night (April 20).
The Modifieds will be part of a tripleheader show of stock car racing with the Late Models and Sportsman also a part of the 7 p.m. Saturday night card of events.
At least 14 events of stock car racing will be presented with the Late Models and Sportsman each running a 25-lap feature to go along with the Modified 30-laps.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. and right at the main entrance there will be a meet and greet with three of the track’s popular racers along with a display of their race cars.
At intermission fans will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes and during the evening track magazine purchasers will be able to win subscriptions to their favorite racing publications or $150 in the BPG Racing Pick 3 Contest.
Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 12 and under will be admitted free. There is always free parking on the speedway grounds.
Anyone entering the pit area will need to have a NASCAR license. Pits open at 2 p.m.
