RAIN CANCELS FAST AND FURIOUS FRIDAY NIGHT RACING AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Bridgeport, NJ (April 12, 2013) – Heavy rain in Southern New Jersey
forced Bridgeport Speedway management to cancel the racing program
slated for April 12 on the quarter mile track. The next Fast and
Furious Friday event on the inner oval takes place on Friday, April
19. The docket of racing includes Micro-Sprints (270cc and 600cc) and
4-Cylinder Enduro Cars. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the first
qualifying event starts at 7:15 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for
fans 10 and older. All kids 9 and under are FREE. Admission to the pit
area is $25 with a license and $30 without a license.

Bridgeport Speedway will be in action on April 13. On this second
Saturday of the month, the 5/8th mile oval will host five feature
events on Vintage Stock Car Night. Big Block Modifieds,
Crate/Sportsman, the D.A.’s Auto Body and Repair Rookie Series, and
Outlaw Stock Cars are joined by an invasion of the Garden State
Vintage Stock Car Club.

The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club has attracted many former
racers, mechanics, car owners, fans and others associated with the
early days of stock car racing as well as their wives and family
members. It is incorporated as a non-profit historical organization
with a membership of over 300 which extends into 20 different states.
Monthly meetings are held so members and guests can gather to relive
the “Golden Age” of stock car racing through displays, models, photo
albums, restored racers and shared stories of racing days past.

On Saturday, April 13, the pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the
grandstand turnstiles unlock at 4:30 p.m. First race gets the green
flag at 6:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for fans 16 and older
and $10 for Students (10-15). All kids 9 and under are admitted at no
charge. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for
non-members.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways, and fan participation games. As a premier racing
complex, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval,
featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located
in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware
at exit 14 off of I-295.
