MMF CHASSIS IS DIALED IN TO SPONSOR SIXTH ANNUAL IRCO DIRT TRACK HEROES SHOW AT PHILLIPSBURG MALL MARCH 10 TO MARCH 16

Behind the scenes, the defining details and preparations continue at a feverish pitch as the energetic management staff do their due diligence to put the many pieces in place for what is expected to be another highly successful gathering of the past, present and future of auto racing coming together under one roof in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. With the IRCO Community Federal Credit Union back on board as the main event sponsor for the upcoming Sixth Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show, the stage is set as additional sponsors have signed on to help showcase another great event set to return to the Phillipsburg Mall in 2013 with the opening day set for Sunday, March 10th.

The show encompasses the majority of the local short track racing scene and will continue through Saturday night, March 16th. The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ, has proven to be an ideal setting for this special event and is now undergoing many changes as a new owner, the Mason Asset Management Group, has taken over ownership of the property and the new Mall director Lauren Warner is making sure a smooth transition takes place when race cars in all shapes and sizes arrive for the week long extravaganza. The show will once again offer a multitude of race cars, racing memorabilia, collectibles and photos on display throughout the course of the week long event. The 2011 edition of the show produced a record breaking 141 cars from all divisions of racing and last year's edition produced 123 cars and as always gave a great indication of the many varied types of race cars that exist in the local area. The always free of charge racing event continues to be the trend setter of the many shows that are scheduled throughout the year and gives the loyal racing fans a chance to see their favorite driving legends or one of the new upstarts talents chat about their racing careers and sign autographs for them. With an exciting and diverse schedule of events to whet the appetite of any true race fan, large crowds are expected to fill the wide walkways of the Phillipsburg Mall. This event has been a traditional Mall favorite and one of the leading attractions for the local racing fans.

New to the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show's growing list of sponsors in 2013 is the MMF Chassis company headed up by owner and driver Mark Manieri Jr. Mark has displayed cars at the show in the past but this year comes in as a sponsor and touting his sharp-looking and high flying MMF Chassis design cars that are built and assembled in Easton, Pennsylvania. Mark has a rich and storied history in the sport while following in his father's footsteps to assist the legendary Modified great, the late Tom Hager. Mark learned his lessons well and used his knowledge gained to embark on a new enterprise right out of high school. Mark built his first chassis in 2010 for the 270 Sprint division and enjoyed great success with it. Mark sustained an injury at his shop in 2011 while building his first 600 Sprint but after being cleared to race from his doctor, promptly put the car in victory lane a few weeks later. Knowing the timing was right, Mark decided it was time to share his success with the rest of the racing community. Opening his doors full time in 2012, Mark has built winning cars as MMF drivers claimed six wins during the 2012 racing campaign. A new addition to the MMF Hose has been a TQ Midget that Matt Janisch has steered to some impressive runs during the indoor season. Mark is diversified in offering superb fabrication work on any type of race car and the 2013 racing season will see 18 MMF race cars doing battle in the local area. Mark can be reached at: 400 Island Park Road in Easton, Pennsylvania and his phone number is: 484 866 5361. The website for MMF Chassis is: www.mmmfchassis.com. The IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show thanks MMF Chassis for coming on board for the event and make sure you talk to the representatives throughout the event. At MMF Chassis, they drive with the slogan "attack the track" and might we add, "they don't look back".

MMF Chassis joins previously mentioned sponsors Smith Fabrications and Martocci's Automotive for the IRCO Dirt Track heroes event. Smith Fabrications, the home of the Stage One Modifieds, will play an important role in this year's edition of the show. Richie Smith, while leaving the driver's seat in the mid-90's, has used his years of knowledge while steering a race car to come up with a scaled version of the full sized Modifieds he drove to many wins in his racing career and has come up with the cutting edge, sleek looking Stage One Modified. Incorporating his solid background in racing and the technical know how to improve upon the finished product, the Stage One Modified is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from the master fabricator Richie Smith. The Stage One race car is beautiful to look at and the performance of the car on the race track is a thrill a second for those who have tried the equipment on for size. Touting affordability and safety as the race car's primary selling points, a ready to race unit is priced in the neighborhood of $12,000.00. For additional information regarding the Stage One Modifieds, log-on to their website at: www.smithfabrications.com or contact Richie by phone at: 610 462 4302

The "Golden Era" of auto racing from the late fifties through the early eighties was an era that saw many changes take place in the way the race cars were constructed. The word "stock" gave way to ingenuity at first and followed closely by technology as the race cars became less stock appearing and relied more heavily on the latest speed part that would make the race car go faster. While the years have changed the look and the cost of racing, the spirit of the competition remains much as it was when racing in the local area was initially launched. The great fan base of racing can come out to this grand Mall event and be transported back to a time when they could hop into their family jitney and travel less than a half hour to witness the excitement of a night at the races. All historical racing groups including Reading, Flemington, Harmony, Dorney Park and Nazareth will have their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks open for the fans to take another long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they want to purchase as a keepsake or two from past glory or racing exploits.

Entries are being accepted to display at the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show. More information is available by calling: 443-513-4456 or you may complete the entry form located on the home page of the: www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com web site. Follow the simple instructions posted on the web site to register. Space is available for race cars of all divisions, non-race cars, street rods, one of a kind vehicles, vendors and race tracks as well.

In the previous Mall events, cars on display included big and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, URC Sprints, Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad variety of vintage and restored race cars. New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Bridgeport, Hamlin, Action Track USA, Borger's and Snydersville will again be among the many speedways involved with the 2013 show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow" with a special night for the budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the local area and this night has proven to be one of the highlights of the week as many will be giving their first ever interviews to a sizable crowd.

The IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will again offer a great keepsake event souvenir program book and shirts with special stories regarding the great racers we watched and cheered on from the grandstands. The Phillipsburg Mall is open Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM and from Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM.
