USAC EASTERN STORM
AMSOIL NON-WING USAC SPRINTS BRING EASTERN STORM TO
PENNSYLVANIA JUNE 5-9
The popular AMSOIL Non-Wing USAC Sprints will be returning to
Pennsylvania in 2013 with the very popular Eastern Storm Tour.
The Grandview Speedway and the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on
the Hill Racing Series will again open the tour on Wednesday night, June 5.
Joining the USAC Non-Wing Sprints will be the ARDC Non-Wing Midgets. The
sprints will go a distance of 40 laps in the Jesse Hockett Classic that will
pay $6,000 to the winner. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30
PM.
The Eastern Storm will continue on Thursday night, June 6
when USAC makes their first appearance ever at the Path Valley Speedway in
Spring Run, PA. The tour will have Friday night off then visit the Port Royal
Speedway on Saturday night, June 8. Last year, Port Royal joined the Eastern
Swing and attracted a huge crowd and you should expect the same in 2013.
Ending the four race Eastern Storm will be a stop at the “Big
Track” Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, PA on Sunday night, June
9. This will be the first time in over twenty years since non-wing sprint
car racing has visited Susquehanna Speedway Park. The ARDC Midgets will join
USAC at the Susquehanna oval before USAC leaves Pennsylvania for their return
trip to the Mid-West.
USAC sprint racing, non-wing style offers the very best
racing with plenty of passing, often some wheel-banging and always, more slide
jobs then you can count on both hands.
More news to come on the 2013 AMSOIL USAC Eastern Storm, but
for now, block these Eastern Storm race dates.
