This car was originally built for Doug Wolfgang to run at Syracuse, but he backed-out of the ride at the last minute. The body design saw input from a designer from the aircraft industry. Scott Tobias ran the car that year at Super DIRT Week, but experienced ongoing motor issues. The lack of rear-quarters design could later be seen in cars raced by Richie Tobias at Flemington Speedway during the early 1990's.
