HOUSE OF THUNDER HALLOWEEN PARTY, PLUS ARDC MIDGETS,

SHOW
Always a popular event on the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the
Hill Racing Series, the Grandview Thunder 5-25’s House of Thunder Halloween
Party returns to the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 13. This
features only program offers race fans a final look in 2012 at five premier
divisions of dirt track racing all on one program.
The URC Sprints will determine their 2012 Rislone Champion in
the $3,000 to win Pioneer Pole Buildings feature event as the 358 Modifieds
chase a $3,000 payday for the winner of their twenty-five lap feature. Also on
the program will be the ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legends each competing in a
25 lap main event. This show will include the Blast from the Past Vintage
Cars & Garden State Vintage Cars along with the Vince’s Towing Owner’s Race.
The night cap will be the Monster Smash Demolition Derby.
The five divisions of racing will bring together over
one-hundred of the top drivers in five divisions of dirt track racing. The
stars from the 358 Modifieds, Rislone URC Sprint Series, ARDC Wingless Midgets,
Sportsman and Legends will all try to add there name to the TOTH 2012 win list
that already includes big names such as Greg Hodnett, Danny Johnson, Ryan
Godown and Indy 500 driver Bryan Clauson.
If the 5 features and no qualifying isn’t enough to excite
fans, URC drivers Robbie Stillwaggon and Davie “No Panic” Franek will take their
season long point battle to the high banked one- third mile Grandview Speedway
to decide who will earn the championship crown of URC in 2012. In the modified
ranks, Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Kevin Hirthler and Gary Hager
are some of the expected drivers looking to win the 25 lap modified feature.
All this plus the ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legends to treat the race
fans.
Also on the card will be the Blast From the Past & Garden
State Vintage Cars racing in a feature event. You should also expect to see
the Vince’s Towing Owners Race, a special 10 lap feature for current modified
owners to climb in their car and go after the win. To participate, car owners
are required to drive the car they own.
The show will start at 6 PM with gates opening at 4 PM.
Kids and adults are encouraged to take part in the Halloween theme by dressing
up in their favorite costumes. To add to the fun and festivities will be the
chance to win various prizes.
Rules for the Monster Demolition Derby are now posted on the
home page at www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com.
