2012 THUNDER SERIES TO END WITH HOUSE OF THUNDER HALLOWEEN
PARTY & 5-25’S ON SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 13
The annual House of Thunder Halloween Party and Grandview
Thunder 5-25’s will close out the successful 2012 NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the
Hill Racing Series at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 13.
Along with many tricks and treats, this popular season finale event will
showcase five divisions of racing to include the 358 Modifieds, URC Sprints,
ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legends each competing in a 25 lap feature event.
No heat race or time trial qualifying on this event, just five awesome feature
events. Also on the program will be the Blast from the Past & Garden
State Vintage Cars, the Vince’s Towing Owners Race and the Monster Smash
Demolition Derby all getting underway at 6 PM. Gates will open at 4
PM.
The concept of the features only format is always a big hit
as it offer race fans an opportunity to see five premier divisions of racing on
one racing program. The top twenty drivers from each division will be invited
to take part in this event. For the URC Sprints, their feature event will be a
point race that will determine their 2012 Rislone URC Champion.
With the festive touch of Halloween, children and all race
fans are invited to “dress up” for this event for a chance to win various
prizes.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay
oval, celebrating their 50th Anniversary season in 2012. The
facility offers free parking, quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try
the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill
race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house. Race fans may take
part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch
warm-ups from inside turn four. Race fans are also invited to victory lane
following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races
to meet the drivers.
