Admission prices for regular Saturday night events are $15 for adults, youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE. And there is always Free Parking on the speedway grounds.

PURSE ANNOUNCED, RULES IN PLACE, AS GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY GETS READY FOR HUGE BPG RACING FREEDOM 76 CLASSIC

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 1, 2012 . . . . The biggest first place payoff for a local short track speedway is set to be paid when Grandview Speedway offers $50,000 to the winner of the 42nd annual BPG Racing Freedom 76 set for Saturday, September 15th.
Many of the top names in area dirt track modified stock car racing are scheduled to be part of the big event including Danny Johnson, Billy Decker, Duane Howard, Bobby Varin, Mike Mahaney, Billy Pauch, Ryan Godown, Jeff Strunk, Ryan Watt, Craig VonDohren, Rick Laubach, Ray Swinehart, Mike Gular, Stewart Friesen and so many others.
A full series of qualifying heats (starting spots assigned by draw) will be followed by the consolation events, the Schaffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 (final opportunity to make the Freedom 76), the Mertz Flying Mullet Cash Dash (featuring heat winners and other top performers) and it is all topped by the BPG Racing Freedom 76. The big race will start somewhere between 33 and 40 cars depending on the number of racers that enter and the number of qualifying heat races needed.
First place money will be $50,000 with the second place finisher earning $11,000 followed by $4,500 for third and on down to the last spot that will pay $400.
Almost $3,000 in lap money and other perks will be paid out to racers at the completion of the 42nd annual Classic.
Pits will open on Friday, September 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for tech inspection. Cars leaving the pits and returning on Saturday will be re-teched on Saturday. Pits will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 15th. All cars must be signed in no later than 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Advance entry fee is $120 while raceday entry will be $150. Pit passes will be $50. No licenses are required.
Engine rules, standard stroke only, can be found at www.grandviewspeedway.com. Only American Racer tires are allowed and must have BGP stamp. Compounds can be found on the website.
Methanol fuel with no additives and racing gasoline (non-oxygenated) will be allowed. All fuel will be tested.
The weight (after the race is completed) will be 2350 pounds for cars using methanol fuel and 2275 pounds for cars using gasoline.
Campers will be allowed on the speedway grounds and surrounding camping areas starting after September 6th. Some camping and parking areas will be charging a small fee. There are no hookups for campers.
Advance ticket holders and season pass holders will be allowed to enter the grandstand area at 3 p.m. through two gates. Ticket windows will open at 3:30 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $40, youngsters 6 through 12 pay just $10 and youngsters under 6 are admitted FREE.
Coolers 12” by 12” by 12” are allowed into the grandstands and must be stored on the floor area in front of the seat.
There is a Saturday, September 22nd rain date in place using the same schedule.
