$20,000 WAITS FOR THE WINNER OF THE FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL PRESENTED BY PPB AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY ON SATURDAY

$20,000 WAITS FOR THE WINNER OF THE FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL PRESENTED BY PPB AT GRANDVIEW ON SATURDAY
Late Models and Sportsman also included in the special night
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 9, 2012 . . . For a racer not having a good season a win in Saturday’s Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings at Grandview Speedway could turn it into a great season. A victory will reward the winning driver, who is a regular campaigner at the NASCAR sanctioned track, with $20,000. If the winner is a visiting racer the victory will be worth $10,000.
There will be lap money paid to the leader of each lap in the 50-lap Modified event. The Hard Charger in the Modified Classic will receive $100 courtesy of Bobby Gunther Walsh and his sponsors. TP Trailers of Limerick has posted $250 for the winner provided the TP decals are visible on each side of the car.
A significant perk that will go to the winner is a guaranteed starting spot in the $50,000 to win BPG Racing Freedom 76 set for Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 15th.
With seven different winners in the NASCAR 358 Modified division this season there can be no clear cut favorite though many feel that Duane Howard has a good chance to visit victory lane for his ninth win of the season.
Lurking out of the limelight is nine time track champion Jeff Strunk and six time track champion Craig VonDohren. Neither driver has made it to victory lane this season at Grandview and a win in this rich classic would be very satisfying. VonDohren did come out on top in the recent Bashore/Pepsi Challenge, a one-on-one match race event for the Modifieds.
Others that could be considered as having possibilities at winning include last week’s feature winner Ray Swinehart, two feature winner Doug Manmiller, Meme DeSantis, Mike Gular, Chris Esposito, Jarrad Miller and others.
The Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will also be part of the Saturday, August 11th, racing action.
The first 1,000 paying spectators through the main gate will receive a FREE Forrest Rogers Memorial rally towel courtesy of Pioneer Pole Buildings.
Adult admission for the 42nd Annual Classic is $25 while youngsters 6 thru 12 pay just $10. Children under six are admitted free. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing getting the green at 7:30 p.m.
Lap sponsorships, priced at just $10, are still available and can be had by visiting the track office on race night or contact Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 or Esaxton144@aol.com.
Grandview Speedway, a NASCAR sanctioned one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road in Bechtelsville, PA, just off Route 100 10 miles north of Pottstown. For information telephone 610.754.7688 or check in at www.grandviewspeedway.com
