Mertztown P.A.- The Sunday Small Car Series will make another go of it on Sunday May 20th at Grandview Speedway. Rain washed away any chance of racing in April and now the opening of the highly anticipated series has moved to May.

On May 20th the Central PA Legend Series will make their first appearance of the year for features only, general admission prices will remain the same at $5.00 for adults (16 and older), $3.00 for 6-15 and free entry into the speedway for kids under 5.
Pit entry will be $30.00 and you must be 14 years of age, be prepared to show a birth certificate if you are less than 18 years of age.

The show will get under way with racing at 2 pm and will be a fast paced show, “if fans are nice enough to come out and spend their hard earned money at the SSCS we owe them a great show and in a timely manner” Pete Knappenberger said, Promoter of the SSCS.
“Today there is so many entertainment options out there to spend money I am loyal to those who are loyal to me and the series” said Knappenberger. Small car racing is very exciting and entertaining I think fans should give it a chance.” Pete added.

There had been rumors that the SSCS is part of the NEETS Enduro series on Sunday’s and there is no truth to that, the SSCS is a promotion all by it self and the NEETS series is their own series, they run on different days are in no way affiliated.
“In 2011 Joe Cutri was nice enough to allow us to cut our teeth and allow us to run with them, in 2012 I decided to branch off and do my own promotion with the Sunday Series at Grandview.” Pete knappenberger said. “We thank Joe and NEETS for allowing us to have been part of them.” Pete concluded.
