RAISING MONEY FOR AL ROBINSON
Our long time friend Al Robinson is in need of some financial assistance.
Several organizations and tracks are offering help. He has been in ill health
for quite a while and his insurance and other financial aid is running out from
what I am told.
Chad Sinon and BPG Racing will be sponsoring the May 19th show at Grandview Speedway (NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman) and the sponsor booth and eight tickets are being offered in an auction. Included is the opportunity to be the honorary starter and the group of eight can have their photo taken in victory lane with the Modified feature winner.
The package is being offered for auction with all money raised going to Al Robinson. Over the years he has been an outstanding announcer, journalist, public relations person and a friend to many in the sport.
Minimum bid is $300 and to get it started Chad Sinon has offered $300 to buy his own booth and tickets. You can submit your bid to me at Esaxton144@aol.com or telephone me at 215.752.7797. You will have to give name and contact information and the amount you want to bid for this package.
You can also see Marilyn in the office at Grandview on Saturday night to make a bid.
On Saturday Marilyn will also be selling a dozen tickets for the May 19th show for $15 each and that money goes to Al Robinson. Keep in mind that is just 12 tickets being offered as part of the Al Robinson Charity effort.
