KELLNER SR., LILICK JR., SNYDER, HOWARD AND BEACH WIN FEATURES AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY
KELLNER SR., LILICK JR., SNYDER, HOWARD AND BEACH WIN FEATURES AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 29, 2012. . . Despite a forecast of rain throughout
the night the racing action went on at Grandview Speedway with five feature
races producing five different winners. Bobby Lilick Jr. won the rained out
25-lap feature for Sportsman rained out the previous week and Jon Kellner Sr.
was tops in the 30-lap NASCAR Modified feature left from the previous
week.
The regular scheduled features had Danny Snyder winning in Late Models, Duane Howard getting his third win of the season in NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Kevin Beach grabbing the Sportsman feature.
Meme DeSantis did all he could in an effort to get by Jon Kellner Sr. in the first 30-lap Modified feature but had to settle for second followed by Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard and Glenn Strunk.
The Sportsman feature from the previous week went to Bobby Lilick Jr. who lead the majority of laps and held off the late race charge of Mike Lisowski. Dave Dissinger grabbed third with Mike Stringer and Kyle Borror getting fourth and fifth.
The lone 20-lap Late Model feature of the night saw Danny Snyder squeeze under Kory Fleming in the fourth turn of the 18th lap to grab the lead and the win. Fleming finished second followed by Jason Miller, Wayne Pfeil Jr. and Chuck Schutz.
The second 30-lapper for NASCAR 358 Modifieds saw Duane Howard come from 16th to grab the lead with six laps to go and lead Ryan Grim across the finish line. Gary Hager earned third followed by Mike Gular and Jeff Strunk.
And in the final event of the night Kevin Beach was just able to nose out Brad Brightbill for the win. Third was Dave Dissinger while Bobby Lilick Jr. gained fourt and Paul Kline came home fifth.
The entire five feature show as completed in less than four hours with only a brief drizzle of rain falling early in the evening.
Coming up on Saturday, May 5th is a tripleheader of NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars sponsored by Mobil 1. A new starting time of 7:30 p.m. will be in place until the BPG Racing Freedom 76 on September 15. Modifieds run in a 30 lap feature while Late Models and Sportsman top their night with 20 lap features. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE.
