RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
URC DISTRIBUTES SECOND HALF OF RISLONE LOYALTY REWARDS PAYOUT, 19 OWNERS SPLIT $7,500, RANDY WEST EARNS TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE STATE URC SPRINT TITLE
At mid-season URC announced the Rislone Loyalty Rewards program, where $15,000 would be distributed to race teams that supported the Rislone URC Sprint series the balance of 2011. On August 20th, eighteen car owners split equally $7,500. On Saturday night, October 1 at the Delaware International Speedway, the second half of the Rislone Loyalty Rewards payout was distributed. $7,505 was paid out in an equal amount of $395 to each car owner. Receiving the loyalty payout was BBJG/Bill Gallagher 5G, Palladino Motorsports 99, Fred Kennedy car 56, Fred Kennedy car 89, Kramer Williamson 73, Ed Aikin 7, JJ Grasso 37, Andy Best 88B, Dave Betts 22, Steve Downs 12d , Art Lied 2, THW Enterprises 39, Ed Wagner 88, Joey Biasi B 1, Joe Zuczek 12z, Jeff Fithian 54, Dave Martin 2L, Denny Garl 17G, Ed Berry 47. The program was well received by URC car owners who earned a slice of their point fund money during the racing season.
The Saturday night URC event at the Delaware International Speedway was their final stop in the first state for 2011. Randy West of Boyertown, PA was the overall series champion of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series as Fred Kennedy was the Series Owner Champion. Following in the top five of the Taylor & Messick Series were Curt Michael, JJ Grasso, Josh Weller and Robbie Stillwaggon.
As a cost saving for URC race teams, the decision was made not to have a banquet this year and the Rislone URC Sprint Series will be paid out at the season finale event at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 15. URC will be part of the features only event sponsored by PPB, paying $3,000 to the feature winner. An additional $1,000 bonus is posted by Viper-Venom if the race winner purchases and displays the Vipor-Venom decal. The minimum twenty car starting field will find each spot with an increased payoff thanks to PPB. The URC Rookie of the Year will be announced, special contingency awards will also be presented at the drivers meeting and the point fund payout will take place at the end of the night, after the final points are decided.
