LANCE DEWEASE EARNS $5,000 FOR RISLONE SPRINT NATIONALS WIN FRIDAY NIGHT AT WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY

Popular sprint car drive Lance Dewease teamed up with car owner Scott McClaren and invaded the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night and left the track $5,000 richer after winning the 25 lap Rislone 360 Sprint Nationals on Valley Forge Inc Night. For Dewease. it was his fourth career URC sprint series win and was certainly one of his most impressive rides with URC. Dewease took the lead on lap six from Aaron Ott and was never challenged after that point, surviving several caution flags throughout the race.

Thirty-eight sprint cars took part in the program with Dewease setting the LikeWise fast time of the night in time trials. Heat race winners include Lance Dewease, Kevin Nouse, Jason Clauss and JJ Grasso as Pat Cannon won the "B" main.

The starting field for the 6th Annual Rislone Nationals was called to the track with seven time URC champion Curt Michael starting on the pole.

At the drop of the green flag, Aaron Ott jumped to the lead as Lance Dewease followed and by the second turn, they were running first and second and in a heated battle for the lead as Curt Michael followed in third.

Jason Clauss came to a stop on lap four displaying the yellow flag. On the restart, Ott and Dewease returned to their battle, opening a comfortable distance over the rest of the top five that included Michael, Kramer Williamson and Dave Ely. On lap six, Dewease used the outside lane and passed Ott for the lead.

At the halfway point, the yellow flag was displayed for Dave Ely who stopped in turn two when the rear went out on his sprinter. On the restart, Dewease was again the man in control with Ott second and a high and flying Mark Smith was racing in third. By lap sixteen, Chad Layton was your fourth place runner, trying to reel in the top three.

Passing was plentiful on the multi-grove surface and all eyes were on Pat Cannon who was the "B" Main winner and racing in the top ten with just five laps remaining.

Dewease took the checker flag with Aaron Ott second, Mark Smith third, Chad Layton fourth and Curt Michael fifth. Making up the top ten were Pat Cannon (the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger of the night), Kramer Williamson, Kevin Nouse, Blane Heimbach, Justin Barger.
