JOE ADAMS LETTERING POSTS BONUS FOR SPORTSMAN PRE-ENTRIES AT GRANDVIEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 3

Event 101 for the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will take place at the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, August 3rd, featuring the 14th Annual TRAFFIC JAM for Modifieds plus the popular Sportsman. The BPG TRAFFIC JAM will be the headline division, paying $8,500 to the winner of the ROC 60 lap feature, but the ROC Sportsman are a key part of the program as well. The sportsman will battle for 40 laps with $1,000 going to the feature winner. Joe Adams Lettering has posted a bonus of $250 that will be paid out with $50 going to the top five sportsman feature finishers who are pre-entered. There is no entry fee so pre-enter by calling 443-513-4456 and be sure to provide the drivers name, car number and hometown. This show is always a highlight on the Grandview Speedway & Thunder on the Hill Racing Series schedule. Adult admission is just $20, children 6-11 $5 and children five and under will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $30 and a license is not required.

Defending winner of the ROC sportsman event at Grandview Speedway is Brad Brightbill and he's an expected entry in the August 3rd event along with Mike Mammana, Jared Umbenhauer, Kevin Beach, Craig Whitmoyer, Daryl Dissinger and Shawn Fitzpatrick just to name a few.

The annual TRAFFIC JAM is always a thriller and with the Chad Sinon/BPG Racing bonus added to the winner's share, no one will be holding back as they chase the $8,500 winner's share in the 60 lap feature. Duane Howard, Billy Decker, Ryan Godown, Brett Hearn, Stewart Friesen, Craig VonDohren, Doug Manmiller, Billy Pauch, Matt Sheppard, Rick Laubach, Kevin Hirthler, Jimmy Horton, Rusty Smith, MeMe DeSantis and Danny Johnson are among some of the expected entries.

One very special activity that takes place during the annual TRAFFIC JAM event is FAN FEST.

Weather permitting, the track gate at the flag stand will swing open after the TRAFFIC JAM starting field is staged on the homestretch. Spectators from the grandstands are invited to come on to the speedway and do a meet and greet with the TRAFFIC JAM starting field. Fans are encouraged to bring their camera's and even a program book to collect autographs and photos.

Earlier in the night, race fans may also take part in the Inside/Out Promotion, allowing fans to watch the warm-ups from inside turn four. It's a great viewing location and you'll feel the ground vibrate when the modifieds power off turn four and charge down the homestretch.

In the event of rain, Thursday night, August 4th will be the rain date.
