NOTES:
* Tim Buckwalter hounded Shane Lewis for many laps, before he was able to sneak under Lewis and grab the lead with four to go in the Wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint main event.
* Tommy Kunsman Jr. was very impressive in scoring the 270cc Micro-Sprint triumph. Kunsman held off defending track champion Ross Perchak over the second half of the 20-lapper to score the win; his first at Kutztown.
* Ryan Smith started 20th in the 270cc feature, then weaved his way through the pack to notch a fourth-place finish.
* Ryan Kunkle (Xcel Sportsman Modifieds) and Joe Nemeth (All Star Slingshots) also registered their initial victories at the one-fifth mile Berks County oval.
* Austrailian 410 Sprint Car driver Luke Bowey, from the city of Adelaide in the land down under, picked up a ride in the Funk No. 97 at Kutztown on Wednesday. Bowey and his family are visiting the Keystone State so that he can run the big Sprinters, but on Wednesday he was given the chance to drive a winged 270cc Micro-Sprint. Mechanical issues knocked him out of his heat race and the consolation.
* Car count for 7/27: Wingless 600cc Micros = 31; Winged 270cc Micro-Sprints = 27; All Star Slingshots = 18; Xcel Sportsman Modifieds = 14. The grand total was 90 racecars on Wednesday evening.
* The full press release will be distributed on Thursday evening, July 28.
