HENDRICKSON IS THE FIRST ENTRANT FOR THE $6500 PRIZE AT THE JAM AT
JERSEY AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (July 1, 2011) – Within minutes after the Jam in Jersey
at Bridgeport Speedway was officially announced, the promotional
team heading up the event received its first official entrant for the
July, 19 race. Wade Hendrickson, a three-time Big Block Modified
champion at Bridgeport Speedway, announced that he will be attending
and racing for the potential $6500 payout. Other early entrants
include Mike Franz, Gary Hager, Matt Harrell, Duane Howard, Neil
Huber, Rick Laubach , Billy Pauch, Jr. and Richie Pratt, Jr.

At the Jam in Jersey race on Tuesday, July 19, two 25-lap Big Block
features will be held including the $3000 to win George Wingate
Classic race which was rained out on June 16. The field for the George
Wingate Big Block Modified race will be enhanced as the top four
non-qualified finishers in the first 25-lap Big Block Modified feature
will be added to the George Wingate Classic contest. If a driver can
win both Big Block Modified events on this night and is pre-entered,
he will walk away from Bridgeport Speedway with $6500 which includes a
$1000 double feature winner bonus. To be eligible for the extra money,
Big Block Modified drivers simply need to contact the promotions
department at mike@bpspeedway.com or 302-875-4196 to pre-enter the
race for free by Sunday, July 17.

In addition, the Bridgeport Modifieds will compete in the Jam in
Jersey show with a 25-lap main event on tap after qualifying events.
The winner of this feature event will take home $1,200 if the number
of entries in the Bridgeport Modified class exceeds thirty. If the car
count in the Bridgeport Modified class is thirty or under, the top
finisher will receive $1,000. The $2500 to win George Wingate Classic
Bridgeport Modified feature will be contested on Thursday, August 18.

For this special event, any track stamped American Racer tires that
conform to the current Bridgeport Speedway permitted compounds are
eligible to be used. Unaltered GM 602 engines, 604 engines with a
Bridgeport Speedway supplied restrictor plate and 347JR Ford motors
with a Bridgeport Speedway supplied restrictor plate will be allowed
to compete in the Bridgeport Modified race. A racer can compete in
both divisions by registering a second car for $150. Additional rules
for this race will be available at the track’s official website
located at www.bpspeedway.com.

PM with the grandstand gates unlocking at 5:30 PM. Heat racing will
commence at 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $20 for adults.
