THE FIRST STATE FIRECRACKER IS UP NEXT AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY

GEORGETOWN, DE (June 16, 2011) – Four classes of racing and a
spectacular fireworks display will make the Friday, July 1 event at
Georgetown Speedway a blockbuster event. The First State Firecracker
will showcase the United Racing Company (URC) Sprint Cars and Super
Late Models during this special holiday weekend show at the famed
half-mile dirt oval in southern Delaware.

In the last URC Sprint Car event at Georgetown Speedway on Sunday, May
29, JJ Grasso, “The Jersey Jet”, was the victor and he will be looking
to repeat his winning performance. Other URC stars expected to be in
competition include Curt Michael, Becca Anderson, Ed Aiken and Kramer
Williamson.
The Super Late Models will be making their first appearance of the
year at Georgetown Speedway and they will have a 25-lap feature
following qualifying events. Ricky Elliott, David Pettyjohn, Kenny
Pettyjohn and Donald Lingo are just a few of the drivers expected to
be on hand.

Like the Memorial Day weekend show, this program at Georgetown
Speedway will include the Bridgeport Modifieds. The victor of the
Bridgeport Modified feature event will take home $1,200 if the number
of entries in the Bridgeport Modified class exceeds thirty. If the car
count in the Bridgeport Modified class is thirty or under, the winner
will receive $1,000. The Chargers will complete the race card. During
intermission, a fireworks display is sure to entertain everyone in
attendance.

On Friday, July 1, the pit gates will open at 4:30 PM with grandstand
turnstiles opening at 5:30 PM. Racing is set to get underway at 7:30
PM. General grandstand admission is $20 and no charge for kids 12 and
under. Admission to the pit area is $35.

Georgetown Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval located on the northbound
side of U.S. Route 113, just 35 miles south of Dover, Delaware, a
45-minute drive from Ocean City, Maryland, and easily accessible from
Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
