AMSOIL USAC EASTERN SWING

Tuesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 2. . . . . . . .
GRANDVIEW & NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY TO HOST AMSOIL USAC NATIONAL SPRINT TOUR AS PART OF THE "EASTERN STORM"

If you have never seen a wingless sprint car race, block out Tuesday night, May 31 and Thursday night, June 2 as the AMSOIL USAC National Sprints bring their "Eastern Storm" Tour to Grandview Speedway and the New Egypt Speedway.

When the top wings come off, the racing gets real exciting with a mix of wheel-banging and wild slides while all the time, the drivers are racing flat out.  It's just something you have to see to believe. Nothing beats the sound, sight and thrill of watching a USAC wingless sprint car navigate the non-forgiving one-third mile high banked Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA.   Nationally known drivers from around the country will be heading to the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, May 31 for the 2nd Annual Jesse Hockett Classic then travel the tour and on to the New Egypt Speedway on Thursday night, June 2.

Casey Shuman, Tempe, AZ, Chris Windom, Canton, IL,   Bryan Clauson,  Noblesville, IN,   Keith Bloom Jr, Anderson, CA,  Hunter Schuerenberg, Sikeston, MO,  Levi Jones, Olney, IL,    Damion Gardner, Concord, CA, and the "Modern Day Cowboy"  Daron Clayton of Sikeston, MO are just some of the USAC stars heading east.

The AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series will open on Monday night, May 30 at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA.

The following night, Tuesday, May 31 the USAC sprints will invade the Grandview Speedway.   The Eastern Storm will clash with the  NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series and in typical style, anytime you arrive at the "hill",  there is always a good chance of  lightning and thunder as well.

In the four previous USAC Eastern Storm events at Grandview, Levi Jones won the opener in 2007, the late Jesse "The Rocket" Hockett won the next two events as  Levi Jones returned to Grandview in 2010 to win the first annual Jesse Hockett Classic.   The word is out about the USAC sprints at Grandview and  this is a show where the time trials are worth the cost of admission.     Also on the program with the AMSOIL USAC Wingless Sprints will be the ARDC Wingless Midgets, making this show a "must see"  open wheel double-header that will get underway at 7:30 PM.   For more information, visit our website at: www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com

The Eastern Storm is far from over as USAC heads to the three-eighth mile  Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday night, June 1.  Check out all the details at:  www.lincolnspeedway.com.

Back by popular demand, the USAC Eastern Storm will once again return to New Jersey, with a stop at the beautiful and fan friendly New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ on Thursday night,  June 2.   In 2010, it was USAC's first visit to the state of New Jersey in thirty-two years and the great show made it well worth the wait.   This unique shaped race track provided some of the most dramatic side-by-side racing of the series and at the end of the night, it was Levi Jones standing in victory lane.   The Big Block Modifieds will share the program  again in 2011.  Duane Howard and his BPG Modified were the class of modified field in 2010.     More information is available at:  www.newegyptspeedway.net

The "Eastern Swing" continues at the  Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night, June 4.  You'll see the bravest men in sprint car racing take on the speeds of the Port for the first time in history.   Joining the USAC sprint cars will be the ARDC Wingless Midgets plus the Williams Grove Old Timers/Penn Central Racing Reunion Honoree Night.  Gates will open at 4 PM with time trials taking the green flag at 7 PM.  For more information on Port Royal, visit their website at www.portroyalspeedway.com

A $6,000 payday will go to the winner of each feature and a very lucrative total payoff plus a point fund for the USAC Eastern Storm competitors will lure some of the top drivers in the business.   They only come east one time a year so make plans to follow the USAC Eastern Storm May 30 through June 4.
