5TH Annual Keystone Cup Speed Week Series

 

5th ANNUAL KEYSTONE CUP SPEED WEEK SERIES TO OPEN AT GRANDVIEW WEDNESDAY, MAY 25

 

The best sprint car drivers in the business will be at the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, May 25 to kickoff the 5th Annual Keystone Cup 410 Sprint Car Series.   The Keystone Cup opener will also mark the first  event of the 22nd season of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series at the Grandview Speedway.  Race time is set for 7:30 PM and joining the 410 sprints will be the always popular 358 Modifieds.     This double headline division event will offer an adult general admission price of just $20,  children 6-11 $5 and children under the age of six will be admitted for free.    Drivers like Tyler Walker, Daryn Pittman, Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, Mark Smith and Lance Dewease will fill  the 410 sprint car field as Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Craig VonDohren, Kevin Hirthler and Wade Hendrickson will showcase the field of modified competitors.

 

The Keystone Cup Speed Week Series will continue at the Port Royal Speedway on Thursday night, May 26 followed by stops at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 27, Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night, May 28, Selinsgrove on Sunday, May 29 and the Big Diamond Raceway will close out the series on Monday night, May 30.

 

The Wednesday, May 25  event at Grandview will mark the ninety-eight event in the history of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series, and  the momentum is building  for the 100th event of Thunder on the Hill coming at mid-season.  The always high profile Thunder on the Hill events have set the standard for years for mid-week racing events and 2011 will be no different.    The USAC wingless sprints will return to Grandview joined by the ARDC Wingless Midgets,  plan on the return of the Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week Series sharing the card with the 358 Modifieds.  The ROC Big Block Modifieds and Sportsman will return to the hill and don't forget the always popular October House of Thunder Halloween Party.   NAPA Auto Parts, Vertical Telephone Systems and Lee Myles Transmissions are proud to present this award winning series.
