With 132 races under it's belt, Speedweek has become "the big event" of the Independence Holiday week in Pennsylvania. Over the years 12 tracks have produced 25 different Speedweek winners.

After being shut out of Speedweek victory lane last season, the "Speedweek King" Fred Rahmer, will return with looking to add to his impressive totals. Rahmer leads all Speedweek competitors with 30 career Speedweek wins. He has also won the series title 11 times.

Last year Greg Hodnett added his third Speedweek crown, which moves him into a tie with Lance Dewease in the Speedweek record books. Hodnett and Dewease are also tied for second spot on the Speedweek win list with 18 wins each. Donnie Kreitz Jr. With eight and Keith Kauffman with seven make up the top five winners in Speedweek history. Single Speedweek crowns have gone to Kauffman, Steve Smith, and Lucas Wolfe.

Last year's Speedweek series produced seven winners in eight races. Only Daryn Pittman was able to repeat in victory lane. Other winners last year were Hodnett, Dewease, Mark Smith, Ed Lynch Jr., Tyler Walker, and Alan Krimes.

This year's Speedweek series kicks off on Saturday June 25 at Lincoln Speedway. The 1/3 mile oval near Hanover, is noted for it's exciting Sprint Car racing, and this year's Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Race is sure to produce some great Sprint Car racing. The 30 lap feature will offer $7000 to the winner. Headed by Kevin Gobrecht's brother Scott, the legends racers will also be on hand.

On Sunday June 26, the series moves west to the Bedford Fairgrounds. At Bedford the Sprint Cars will race 30 laps with $5000 on the line for the winner. Bedford's super Late Model class will also compete. With Monday being an off night in Speedweek, the Bedford race will carry a Monday evening raindate.

The high banked bullring known as the Grandview Speedway will be the site of Tuesday June 28 action. The Thunder on the Hill Series event will go for a distance of 35 laps with $5000 on the line for the winner. Grandview's always exciting 358 Modifieds will also be a part of the program.

On Wednesday June 29, action moves a few miles south of the boarder to the Hagerstown MD Speedway. Another 30 lap feature on the spacious half mile will offer $5000 to the winner. The restored race cars from the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing will be part of the Hagerstown program with an exhibition of vintage racing.

The Port Royal Fairgrounds will host the first of two 2011 Speedweek shows on Thursday June 30. The big oval will offer a 30 lap feature Thursday evening with $5000 to the winner. The Prostocks will join in the fun.

The "Crown Jewel of Speedweek" the $10,000 to win Mitch Smith Memorial at Williams Grove is the Friday July 1 show. The 30 lap feature event is the biggest of each Speedweek series. The SpeedSTR's and Fireworks are also on the slate for the evening.

It's back to Port Royal on Saturday July 2 for another 30 lap feature paying $5000 to the winner. This time the Port's Super Late Models will join in the action.

Speedweek is scheduled to conclude on Sunday July 3 at the Selinsgrove Speedway. The Jan Opperman Memorial race will go for 30 laps and offer $5000 to the winner.
