49TH CONSECUTIVE SEASON SET TO START AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2011 SEASON OPENS WITH FREE-TO-THE-PUBLIC PRACTICE

SEASON PASSES MAKE A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA December 8, 2010 . . . The 49th consecutive season of professional stock car racing will get started with a free-to-the-public practice session on Saturday, March 26th at Grandview Speedway. Action will get underway at noon and the afternoon practice session is bound to attract a large variety of racing vehicles including NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models, Sprints, Midgets and more.

Officially the new season gets the green flag at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd when a doubleheader show of NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds and Late Models is presented. This will be the regular Saturday night attraction on most Saturdays as it has been for a number of years.

With plans still being worked on the United Racing Company Sprint Cars is the only special attraction on the schedule at this date and that will happen on Saturday, June 11th in doubleheader show that will also feature the NASCAR 358 Modifieds.

Again in 2011 the very popular Thunder on the Hill Series, a schedule of special events promoted by Bob Miller and Bruce Rogers, will be back and their schedule of events will be released in the near future.

In fact the full 2011 schedule of events is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

Proving to be popular with fans again this year is the season pass. For just $300 a fan can have a reserved seat for every Saturday night show throughout the 2011 season including the Firecracker 40, the Forrest Rogers Memorial and the classic BPG Racing Freedom 76 which closes out the regular season. The season pass holder does not have to wait in a ticket line and is guaranteed that the same seat is his or hers each Saturday.

Season passes can be ordered by telephoning the track office at 610.754.7688.
