MODS AND LATE MODELS FEATURED IN HATFIELD MEATS NIGHT
FREE POCONO TICKETS FOR FIRST 200 PAYING ADULTS
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 21, 2010 . . . The first 200 paying adult fans to pass through the spectator gates at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, July 24th will receive a free ticket for the ARCA/NASCAR Camping World Truck doubleheader schedule for Pocono Raceway on July 31st.
Heading up the Hatfield Quality Meats sponsored night will be the NASCAR Whelen 358 Modifieds along with the Late Models with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. Both divisions will run in a full slate of qualifying events leading up to a 30-lap feature starting 28 racers for the Modifieds and a 20-lap feature for the Late Models.
Duane Howard goes into the night as the point leader in the 358 Modifieds while Brian Shuey leads a close battle for the Late Model title.
Fans will have the opportunity to win a Weber charcoal grill courtesy of Hatfield. The always popular Hatfield mascot Smiley will be on hand to entertain fans and shoot hot dogs and t-shirts into the stands.
Many copies of the new color covered Grandview Groove track magazine, 15th edition of the season, will contain free tickets for the ARCA/NASCAR Camping World Truck doubleheader at Pocono Raceway on July 31st. In addition there will be a $400 package of Pocono tickets that include two tickets for the August 1st NASCAR Sprint Cup race in one very lucky book. And there will be some books that will include free gift cards for Dunkin’ Donuts courtesy of Jeff Teets’ Salvage Transport.
Late Model racers will be using the night as a tune-up for the big $2,000 to win Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits Late Model race being run on Saturday, July 31st as part of FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT. An impressive field of traveling Late Model teams are expected to be on hand to challenge the Grandview Speedway Late Model regulars.
In addition the Sportsman stock cars will be seen in action in this special Fan Appreciation Night doubleheader. Adult fans will be admitted for just $10, children 6 through 11 will pay just $3 and kids under 6 are admitted free. For fans wanting to enter the pits there will be no NASCAR license required and pit admission is just $30.
Ms. Motorsports Danielle Wilson will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs.
The NEETS Enduro racers will be featured on Sunday, August 1st in a 2 p.m. show that will also include the SpeedSTRs.
Coming up on Saturday, August 7th will be Mavericks Motorcycle Club Night featuring the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models. A special Alex’s Lemonade Stand promotion is planned with funds going to battle cancer. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
