Saturday, July 3, 7:30 p.m. Curt. J. High & Associates LLC Firecracker 40 for Late Models ($5,000 to win), NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Fireworks. Late Model racer Kory Fleming and his sponsors will give away four bicycles to youngsters.

CURT J. HIGH & ASSOCIATES FIRECRACKER 40 LATE MODEL RACE WILL PAY $5,000 TO WIN, 358 MODS AND FIREWORKS INCLUDED IN JULY 3RD SHOW AT GRANDVIEW



BECHTELSVILLE, PA JUNE 24, 2010 . . . Late Model stock car racing will be in the limelight at Grandview Speedway as they race for $5,000 to win in the Curt J. High & Associates Firecracker 40 set for Saturday, July 3rd.

In addition to the Late Models racing for their biggest purse of the season, the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds will be in action and on top of all that there will be a great fireworks display honoring the 4th of July. The night kicks off with qualifying events at 7:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.

The Late Models have a close battle going on for the title. As of June 25th defending champion Brian Shuey is leading the standings as he goes for his third championship. Close behind is newcomer Randall Paxton, past champions Chuck Schutz, Ron Kline and Randy Stoudt along with young Mike Kellner looking for his first title.

With what may be the largest first prize offering in track history for the Late Models it is expected that a stellar field of entries will be on hand.

Duane Howard, the current NASCAR Whelen Modified point leader, will lead another large field of Modifieds trying to make the 28-car starting field for the 30-lap feature that tops their segment of the show.

In addition to the Late Models and 358 Modifieds fans will be treated to a wonderful Fireworks display.

Admission for the tripleheader card of action planned for Saturday, July 3rd is $20 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6 thru 11 and under 6 are admitted FREE. Military personnel in uniform with proper ID are admitted FREE.

Closing out the Holiday weekend will be the Sunday, July 4th NEETS Enduro action along with the SpeedSTRs. Racing starts at 2 p.m.
