DON MARKS MEMORIAL SPONSORED BY BPG RACING SET FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 26TH



BECHTELSVILLE, PA MAY 20, 2010 . . . For the second year in a row long time track photographer Don Marks, who passed away suddenly in early 2008, will be remembered at Grandview Speedway with a Memorial race run in his name and sponsored by BPG Racing.

The night will include racing for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models.

The 30-lap Modified feature will carry a special award with Billy Colton of Troyer Race Cars posting a $1,000 gift certificate for the race winner.

“I considered Don Marks a very good friend and he was such a great supporter of the sport,” said BPG Racing’s Chad Sinon. “I want to keep his memory alive and this Memorial race is important in making that happen. Hopefully we can make this a special event each year at Grandview Speedway.”

Lap sponsorships will be available for just $10 per lap in both the Modified and Late Model features. Sponsorship of qualifying events will sell for just $150. Other awards will be welcomed.

“We are hoping to make this a special night as we remember our long time friend,” said track announcer and PR person Ernie Saxton. “He was an important part of racing here at Grandview Speedway. He is truly missed by all of us.”
