Geezer Gazette

BIG WEEKEND AHEAD !!

Great chance to come out and see us this Saturday !! Open house at Cooper Morgan’s Public House 1-4 , then Meat n Greet at track 4:30 -6. On track action starts at 7:30.

6-11-16 QUICK RESULTS:

After hot laps, we had a minor oil leak that 22 crew members for the night: Al and Bob quickly found and stopped before the qualifying action, thanks guys !! The #22 Cooper Morgan’s Public House #22 went with a few more shock compression and rebound changes that didn’t agree with the track conditions and we finished 12th in the 25 lap main event. The handling situation worsened as the race went on, but of course we continue to learn. Car owner kindly asked us to ‘’throw away’’ that set up sheet. We did. Congrats to firs time BRC Late Model winner Drew Weisser and the entire #19 team !! They’ve been trying for 9 years now and finally got the huge win, much deserved to a team that really does offer to help anyone who asks. Thanks Al and Bob for crewing Saturday and to car owner Steve Bartorillo who found out we were low on rehydration fluids and delivered a case the pits… much appreciated  !!

GEEZER GAB:

Ø Cary Vaupel generously surprised us with a new tire Saturday night !! Hand delivered, total surprise, no questions asked… Cary is a fire rescue worker at the track and has become quite a friend / fan indeed, aside from a great man…THANKS from all of us at KAM Fueled Racing, we graciously accept and will run your new rubber this Saturday !! Again it’s this kind of comradery that really keeps me going in this demanding sport.

Ø Thank you Ernie Saxton for the extra press advertising our exciting weekend ahead, with Cooper Morgan’s and the ‘meat n greet’. We appreciate it !! I also understand Ernie was seen in his neighborhood wearing his KAM Fueled Racing Geezer T-shirt that he recently got !!  Apparently he was so excited to wear his shirt, he forgot his pants… he will be out of jail in a month. Hahahaha
Ø Great to hang with the turn 4 gang ( Alex, Steve, Coach, Ralphie, and hecklers) to take in some modified and Sportsmnan action after our feature, what a fun bunch. If you get a chance to visit the stands, check out turn 4 and witness the fun first hand. All in good taste and I don’t think ‘’Coach Pete’’ has called the tower once yet this season… ‘yet’ being key word. LOL

Ø Thank you Missie Fagley (Checkered Flag Bakery) for the homemade cookies even though Wendy tried to steal them, Linda for the Donitz, Shani for the cinnamon buns, and Michelle Eckert for the 2 pieces of cake !! Do you folks see why I need a new suit each year? ;)

Ø Hats off to Brett Higginbotham who will honorably take over the former Bruce Thomas racing site: Rub Rails and Rooster Tails. Bruce succumbed to cancer recently and is surely missed by all of his racing family. Brett will keep the site updated as Bruce watches from above. Good job Brett. I had the privilege of meeting Bruce’s significant other Saturday night, Linda is a wonderful woman.
Ø Joe Adams stopped by for a peace offerinG of a huGe beer, next week we promise to brinG ice !! Hahahaha

Ø David Hawk stopped back after the events and bought a couple t- shirts !! Thanks David !!

Ø Thanks Wendy Wojnar for selling Geezer Gear before the races every Saturday, we really do appreciate it !!Good luck to her hubby Chris who is in the #81 BRC Late Model part time !

Ø  Princess says ‘HI’ !!!  But she forgot to give me directions to their new home so I couldn’t help them paint Sunday … so I washed the race car all day instead… LOL

Ø Congrats to first time TP Trailers Modified winner Brett Kressley in the Norm Hansell owned #357 car!! Brian Papiez won the Sportsman race and got his first Grandview win ever also !

Ø My buddies Dan Lane and his son Dan Lane Jr, raced four times in three days, with one top 5 ! The good news… they didn’t cause any riots, received no fines and no bail money needed for big Dan at all. Baby steps… LOL

Ø Crew member JD was fishing over the weekend and called me to see if he could sleep on my couch after his wife read a post he posted on Face Book, it said : Landed me a beautiful stripper at the shore today !! He meant ‘’striper’’ . My lawyers are helping him with this now. HA ! We missed ya JD !! We actually had beer left over. LOL

Ø This Saturday, June 18th, the OPEN HOUSE FROM 1 TO 4 at Cooper Morgan’s located just a mile from the track, see ad below !! The Low Down and Dirty crew will be doing interviews from the deck !! Autograph cards, burgers, Yuengling girls, 22 crew and owners, sponsors, maybe a pin the tail on the Geezer contest… why would you miss this??!! See ya there.
