GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY RAINED OUT FOR FIRST TIME THIS SEASON‏

COMING EVENTS: Saturday, May 23, 7:30 p.m. 2nd annual Turn The Track Purple @Grandview Speedway. May is Lupus Awareness month and this will be a special night at the track honoring Lupus Awareness. T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman.
Sunday, May 24, 7:30 p.m. Thunder on the Hill Series featuring 5-25 lap features for Modifieds, Sportsman, ARDC Midgets, 305 Sprints and Legends cars.
Saturday, May 30,  7:30 p.m. T.P. Trailers Night featuring the T.P. Trailers NASCAR Whelen NASCAR Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman plus Blast from the Past Vintage Racers.
Tuesday, June 2, 7:30 p.m. Thunder on the Hill Racing Series featuring the Jesse Hockett Memorial Classic with United States Auto Club Wingless Sprints and American Racing Drivers Club Wingless Midgets.
Each Saturday night has spectator gates opening at 5:30 p.m. with a Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet that allows fans to meet drivers and get up close look at race cars.
RAIN WASHES OUT SATURDAY NIGHT NASCAR STOCK CAR RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 16, 2015 . . . For the first time this season Saturday night NASCAR stock car racing was rained out at Grandview Speedway.
                “We kept hearing about rain around us but we thought we just might get lucky and the rain would miss us,” said assistant track manager Tina Rogers. “Unfortunately Ma Nature just was not on our side and we had to cancel the Saturday night race. The Checkered Flag Fan Club Night that had been scheduled will be rescheduled.”
                The second annual Turn The Track Purple will take place at Grandview on Saturday, May 23rd at 7:30 p.m. and will feature the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. As is normal the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet featuring drivers and cars from each division will take place at the main gate as the gates open.
                17-year-old Lupus patient Haley Williams Wetzel has been battling the disease for 10 years. She has a love for local dirt track racing. Fans and racers are being asked to wear something purple as that is the Lupus awareness color. Team Haley will have a table set up to distribute info on Lupus as well as make pins available to those who would like to show their support of the dread disease. Purple candy ribbons and butterfly lollipops will be available and they will be chancing off two gift baskets. All proceeds will go to the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for Lupus research.
                Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free. Active military are admitted free with proper ID. Pit admission is $30 and requires a NASCAR license.
                Coming up on Saturday, May 30th, 7:30 p.m. is T.P. Trailers of Limerick Night featuring the NASCAR T.P. Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman along with the extra added attraction of the Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
