RAIN OUT FORCES BRC NIGHT TO BE RESET FOR AUGUST 30 AT GRANDVIEW‏

RAIN WASHES OUT SATURDAY RACING, BCR NIGHT RESET FOR THIS SATURDAY,

DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND OF RACING EXCITEMENT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

Bechtelsville, PA August 23, 2014 . . . This season it has been a rare happening at Grandview Speedway. Rain washed out the scheduled Bernheisel Racing Components Night of racing action on Saturday.

                The 30-lap feature for the BRC Late Models plus racing for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Sportsman stock cars has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 30, 7:30 p.m. The Late Models will be featured in a special event that gives all the racers, sporting BRC decals on both sides of their race cars, the opportunity to pick up a share of the more than $5,000 worth of racing products being made available by Bernheisel Racing Components.

                Only two point events remain on the Grandview Speedway for all three divisions of competition. At present Jeff Strunk is on top in the NASCAR 358 Modifieds shooting for his 10^th title. Randy Stoudt tops the Late Models and Jared Umbenhauer is shooting for his third straight Sportsman championship.

                Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet taking place at the main gate and featuring Kory Fleming, Dan Green and Sean Merkel. Racing gets the green at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted free.

                The final Open Wheel Spectacular of the season is set for Sunday, August 31^st at 7:30 p.m. featuring the top talents of the Hilborn TSRS Winged Sprints and ARDC Wingless Midgets. Both divisions top off their shows with exciting, action-packed 25-lap feature races. A full series of qualifying events is presented leading up to each feature race. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay just $5 and kids under 6 are admitted free.

                Coming up on Saturday, September 6^th is the Green Lane Wm. Penn/Four Star Lettering sponsored final point events of the season featuring the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman at 7:30 p.m.

                Advance tickets are on sale for the Saturday, September 13^th $25,000 to win Freedom 76 Modified Classic. The 76 lap race is expected to attract many of the top dirt track modified racers. Admission is $35 for adults, $10 for youngsters 6 through 12 and under 6 are admitted free. Tickets can be ordered through the mail by sending a check/money order payable to Grandview Speedway along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
