Sicklerville, NJ (August 28, 2014) – With extra money available for a special mid-week race, Brett Ballard invaded the Georgetown Speedway on Tuesday, August 26 for Beach Blast and won the 25-lap Crate Sportsman feature. After winning this heat race, the B&M Motorsports driver drew the second starting spot during the redraw. In the main event, Ballard led every circuit to claim the $1000 first place prize. “The car did not handle that well during the feature but it feels good to get back into victory lane. I want to thank my dad, crew and marketing partners for their strong support this year,” commented the victor. His current marketing partners include John Latwinas Farmers Insurance Agency of Sicklerville, NJ, Larkin Auto Service, CB Productions, CTS Lawn Care, and Delran Auto Body. Ballard will be back in action at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, August 30.
Matt Budd, Ballard’s teammate, competed in the Beach Blast event as well. After winning the consolation race, Budd had a strong car in the feature race. Unfortunately, he was innocently involved in a multi-car skirmish which ended his night of racing and resulted in a twenty-third place finish. Budd’s marketing partners in 2014 include Racersguide.com, Vahlco Racing Wheels, and Rick Sweeten Images.
