The sixty-seventh season of the Rislone URC Sprint Series will officially kickoff on Saturday night, April 19 at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, PA.
$2,500 will go to the winner of URC’s first Super Series event of the season with a minimum of $200 to start the feature event. Eight time URC Champion Curt Michael will lead a list of URC talent to include Josh Weller, driving the Ken Eldreth owned sprint car, Brian Carber driving for Guy Howie, Ed Aikin, Andy Best, Troy Betts, Robbie Stillwaggon, Randy West, Dan Mazy, Chad Trout, Kevin Darling and Davie Franek to name a few.
This event will offer an open draw for heat race starting positions plus a revenge redraw to determine part of feature fine up. A minimum of twenty-four cars will start the feature event and for URC teams, this race will offer a flat seventy points. All sprint cars must weigh a minimum of 1,475 lbs with the driver after the race. Cars running with the vacuum oil pan will be required to weigh 1,525 with driver.
The event tire will be the URC2, MC2 or Selinsgrove track tire. Adjustable wings will be permitted and other wing rules include, 2” wickerbill on flat wings, 1” wicker bill on dish wing or, the Selinsgrove Top Wing rule will be allowed. The URC engine rule will be in place for all sprint cars and teching will be conducted both prior to the race as well as post-race.
